Any interest in your end on moving up for the 1st overall pick?
The Chiefs are looking to trade down while still staying in the top 10. Looking to acquire either additional picks, players, or both as compensation along with your 1st rounder.
If you are interested feel free to PM me or post in our War Room. _________________

Looks like everyone is on board with giving Jake Long a contract offer.
I've PM'd most the staff the offer, our GM has suggested lowering the guaranteed cash down 5 million, which I will. Gives him about half the value of the contract in guarantees.
Anyone that hasn't seen the offer and would like too please just send me a PM. I don't wanna post in the war-room for teams to copy-cat or one-up us.
Does anyone seriously object against this? |

I'm going to wait till for awhile and see if anyone objects to the Jake Long situation. I'll be posted/PMing the offer if no one has any objections.
* EDIT *
I've sent in the offer: If anyone is unclear about the offer just ask for a PM from me, though everyone in the staff has or should have already seen it. Guaranteed cash was lowered 5 million dollars per request of our GM AZP. Let's sit back and wait, see what happens. |

Jake Long has agreed to sign with...
Terms of the deal were not initially released, but it's believed to be a five-year deal.
*The contract is as below*

Year 1: 6,000,000 ||| 2,000,000 SB ||| 500,000 WK bonus ||| $8,500,000 Cap Hit
Year 2: 6,900,000 ||| 2,000,000 SB ||| 500,000 WK bonus ||| $9,400,000 Cap Hit
Year 3: 7,935,000 ||| 2,000,000 SB ||| 500,000 WK bonus ||| $10,435,000 Cap Hit

Jake elected to sign with Arizona due to the warmer climate and the chance to remain at his more natural left tackle position. Mr. Long was also thrilled to land what will likely be his last big contract. _________________

Nailed it guys. A top flight LT for the next five years. We're at the 52 player limit. An will have around 2.2 million dollars over the cap. We'll have to start figuring out our cap situation and who we want moving forward.
For now though, it's a good day. |

Just a head up I don't think you were supposed to go over the cap at any point past the opening of Free Agency. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Sorry, when I ment "over" I mean we have slightly over 2.2 million in "free cap space". We aren't over the 121 million dollar salary cap, we're 2.2 million under. Sorry for the confusion.
Still, with that said, our draft money alone commits us to just under 7.1 million. So, we need to start thinking about players to move, cut, or something before the draft is finished. We need ideas on which players to cut.
My favorite two are Stewart Bradley(saves 3 million) and Beanie Wells(saves 1.7?? million). Thats almost all the money in those two alone, but we could have a log-jam along the line now with Jake Long, and especailly if we take a guard with our 2nd or 3rd round picks.
Roster update:
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts, Michael Floyd, Early Doucet, Kerry Taylor, LaRon Byrd
TE: Jeff King, Rob Housler, Jim Dray
RB: Ryan Williams, William Powell, Fozzy Whittaker
FB: Anthony Sherman
QB Ryan Mallett, Matt Cassel, Ryan Lindley
OT: Jake Long, Nate Potter
OG: Levi Brown, Adam Snyder, Mike Gibson
C: Lyle Sendlein, Scott Wedige
OG: Dary Colledge, Blake DeChristopher
OT: Bobby Massie, Senio Kelemete
DE: Calais Campbell, Ronald Talley
NT: Dan Williams, David Carter, Ricky Lumpkin
DE: Darnell Dockett, Everrette Thompson
OLB: Sam Acho, Tim Fugger
ILB: Nick Barnett, Colin Parker
ILB: Daryl Washington, Reggie Walker
OLB: O’Brien Schofield, Zach Nash
CB: Patrick Peterson, Marcus Trufant
S: Kerry Rhodes, Justin Bethel
S: Adrian Wilson, Rashad Johnson
CB: Williams Gay, Jamell Flemming
LS: Mike Leach
K: Jay Feely
P: Dave Zastudil
KR/PR: William Powell/Patrick Peterson

Our GM and myself have talked, and we've decided to cut amongst ourselves
| Quote: | LB Stewart Bradley(Saves 3 million)
OT Levi Brown(Saves around 550k)
OL Adam Snyder(Cost 100k) |
These cuts will save us roughly 3.4 million dollars. Anyone have anything to say about these cuts. It's still open for discussion. If the staff is bent on keeping one or more of these guys on the roster then both of us will have to reconsider. |

I would not be cutting either of Brown or Snyder right now. You have to see how the draft plays out. Brown is a valuable backup (an we don't gain much by cutting him, what we do "gain" has to be spent on bringing in a replacement.)
Snyder costs us money and a we still have to fill a roster spot. There is no immediate benefit to that move, no FFMD benefit to that move. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

A whole lot, I can pretty much tell you that your not interested in his price tag... Even more so since we're thin at CB and have only three signed. I don't wanna offend anyone or seem unreasonable so... I'll just say he's out of teams price range.
During the draft process, IRL, DET offered up | Quote: | | pick 11, 3rd rdp, 4th rdp 2012 1st rdp(the following year) | An ARI turned it down... It'd be bad business practice to accept less now that we know he belongs in the league and not just a rookie.
EDIT* Alright, seems reasonable to keep these guys around till we don't have too anymore, but, that being said, I am cutting Stewart Bradley today. The rest. We'll cut as we replace. |

Cut Stew now, With signing Long we still will have Potter as our backup cut Levi now, not sure about Snyder yet though. We might be assuming our draft right now and we shouldn't cut him yet _________________

Got an offer for Beanie Wells, isn't much, just seems like depth exchange but with Ryan Williams I'm fine with it.
