He is a situational back who needs space to operate and carries with him a bad contract. Would not want him here at all.
Any nibbles on Dockett? _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Could we use an upgrade at RB? Sure. Do I believe that if we improved the offensive line, a guy like William Powell could produce? Yes.
Not to mention what Khodder just noted to in regards to his running style.
Eddie Lacey would be the ideal fit, because he's an elite pass protector and someone who continually falls forward and finishes his runs. He's the anti-Beanie Wells.
However, word is he'll go in the top 40-50 range, and that's too high for this team to take a back this year. Too many other needs.
That's the KIND of back we need and want IMO. But as long as were trotting out the scrub oline we currently possess, it doesn't matter who's running behind it. _________________

That would be Eddie Lacy. Jacob Lacey is a CornerBack. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Thats fine. We'll move on from Sproles.
Dallas wants to know if we want Ryan Cook? He was there C this year and did a good job. Anyone think adding cook can help if it was a low round or something?

Would rather not bring him in, if he was any good he would have stuck on somewhere. He does not, to me, provide a big upgrade over what we have in Lyle Sendlein and using a draft pick on him would be counterproductive IMO.
Almost like trading for a player just to trade for a player. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I agree with this, not much of an upgrade and when comparing the I also decided that if I were to choose between the two I would choose Sendlein cause he has been a captain the past few years and is a leader in our locker room.
So I vote no on Cook because he isn't much of an upgrade _________________

just to give my opinion on the recent stuff.
I love Sproles...he is more than just a situational RB in my eyes. But we can't give up draft picks to get him.
Ryan Cook is nothing special. Probably an improvement over Sendlein, but he is not worth trading for imo.
and we should keep D. Colledge. He was our only INT-lineman who was not awful last year. He may not be great, but if we get rid of him, we get even weaker at our already weakest position. _________________

Ryan Cook can back up multiple spots on the OL, but it's true that he's nothing special.
Do you guys have any interest in Doug Free? _________________

I'm not too interested in Doug Free personally, we're in good position draft wise to get a solid LT.
| Quote: | How to Offer a contract:
To offer a Resign contract, please PM Estonianzulu With a contract offer. You will need the following information in your contract offer:
Subject: Team Name offer to resign Player Name
Breakdown of salary numbers by year (Salary, Signing Bonus, Other Bonuses)
Comparable contracts
A Pitch explaining why your free agent should accept your contract offer.
To offer a Contract to a UFA you will contact the Talent Agent representing that position. Positional contacts will be updated when the TA period begins. Please refer to the Schedule for dates. |
We need to work a contract for CB Greg Toler quickly, and a pitch. Thought we could start discussing it and maybe someone could write up a solid pitch outside the GM or me. |
