Sorry to hear that Iceman.
Can I nominate Bloeedyr for the GM position? He has been the busiest scout so far, and his analysis of the draft is top notch! |

Got a PM from the Giants GM.
Personally... I think it's worth discussing Brown. I'd only consider our 3rd, if that, but Brown really stepped it up last season.
Some things to be a bit hesitant about is the fact that this was Brown's first year of starting, but he showed potential. Pairing him up with All Pro Michael Griffin would create a formidable safety duo.
What do the rest of you guys think? _________________

Obviously it's up to Ruskie as to whether or not we want to use it, just had a bit of free time and figured I could write it up. |
Dude... that's an amazing pitch. Great work, and I think we should use it! _________________

What do the rest of you guys think? | I'd be fine giving up a third. If we don't trade for someone, we'll likely going to have to spend a second or third on a safety anyways, so we might as well trade for someone that already has an eight interception season under his belt.
Wouldn't give up more than a third, but if you want to offer them that pick I'd certainly be alright with it. _________________

I'd be fine with our 3rd for Brown too.
Does anybody know if William Moore from the Falcons is a FA or did they sign/tag him? _________________

To work off my last post, the following safeties were either tagged or resigned:
William Moore, ATL; LaRon Landry, NYJ; Dashon Goldson, SF; Ronde Barber, TB; Glover Quin, HOU; Ed Reed, BAL; Kenny Phillips, NYG; Jarius Byrd, BUF.
So yes, as I said, safety market was crushed. _________________

Just went through the "General Discussion"-thread, and saw that Tier 4 has been released.
| Quote: | OLB Anthony Spencer - eddie mac
OLB Paul Kruger - Tatupu_64
RB Michael Turner - Jaytotha
DT Randy Starks - Iceman88
CB Cary Williams - jrry32
DT Glenn Dorsey - MKnight82
DB Louis Delmas - Porter22 |
A few interesting names that I believe we should make a run for. _________________

Ruskie, you could probably just send an unofficial offer of our third to NYG (assuming you haven't already). Obviously make it clear that the rest of the staff needs to vote, but that it's certainly a possibility. _________________

Honestly rather just keep our pick then take a risk with a player that hasn't done anything until this year. The depth in this years safety class is just incredible. _________________

I would agree with this, this class is deep why not draft someone in the 3rd and have competition _________________

However, that's not the position we're in. We have no starting safety on the roster to play opposite Griff, and taking a mid-round pick and almost assuredly having to name him a starter from the second he steps on the field is a dangerous move. Especially when there's a 25 year old coming off of an 8 interception with a small contract number available.
Just my opinion though. _________________
