Hello, Bengals HC paying the Crescent City a visit. I see that you have Marques Colston on your trade block. Would you be interested in the Bengals 3rd round pick for him? It's the 86th overall pick. In FFMD you would save 750K in cap space by trading Marques which more than covers the 688K cap hit for the draft slot. This draft has a lot of good players who will fall from the mid 2nd to early 4th rounds so you could add one here while improving your cap situation. PM me if interested.

No thanks, I actually think we take a massive cap hit by trading him, and I wouldn't move him for any less than a 2nd.

In real life he restructured this week and the Saints would take a cap hit if they traded him. In FFMD you have his contract as it existed as of the start and the spreadsheet says his cut cap hit is 3.75 mil which is the same if he's traded. You would then save his 4.6 mil in salary and workout bonus.

I'll see if the Bengals want to offer more.

Not thanks, I'd really like to keep him.

I have a list of about 12 players, I would like to get at #90, but I doubt that many of them would be there. For three or four of them I would even consider trading up, if one of them ist there after pick #60.
Maybe our 3rd and a future 2nd for pick 65.

Err, you have Colston listed on your trade block. I figured it was because you were confident of Henderson, Graham, and Moore and wanted a high draft pick to rebuild your defense or rejuvenate your team while improving your cap situation.

If Colston is traded in FFMD, you take a dead money cap hit this year of 3.75 mil according to the cap spreadsheet. You save Colston's salary of 4.5 mil and 100K workout bonus so it saves you 850K this year and removes him from your future cap if you care about that.

The Bengals second round pick is pick 55 overall. There is some interest in our war room in trading for Colston. We wouldn't be interested in trading that pick for your 3rd and next year's 2nd. We'll be on the clock with a pick from our trade with the Eagles in a couple hours and might take a WR.

Too late to trade Colston at this point. Porter, PM me who you like at our pick, I have a few guys in mind as well.

Ok, fair enough, but why bother putting him on your trade block when the trading picks up as the draft starts? Seems like a waste of time to list a player with a price then turn down a deal from a team that is discussing meeting the price you posted.

What? I haven't posted a trade block in weeks, I haven't updated it because players are rarely moved during the draft.

Welcome Corey Lemonier to the team guys! He won the voting 3-1. He completes our front 7, which is looking chalk full of potential right now.
