| Quote: | | Modell, who was perhaps the most controversial finalist, didn't make the first cut when the field was narrowed from 15 to 10 candidates. He has been a semifinalist for eight of the past nine years and was a finalist in 2001 and 1013. |
I think since he didn't make it this year, he may never. And I'm ok with that. _________________

I'm glad he didn't get in. It would have caused a riot in Canton. _________________

| My only disappointment is that we could have reenacted "Bottle Gate" during his induction to once again show the nation what a POS Art was for stealing our team. |

I wear my excessive bitterness on my sleeve because, well, I'm bitter. |

Honestly, it wouldn't have bothered me too much if he got in.
Am I still disappointed by what happened in 1995? Yes. Do I hate Art Modell for what he did? No. _________________

Now all we need is a 9ers victory tomorrow and I will wake up for work smiling on Monday. _________________

Good for you. Doesn't make you a better person than those that do. Or worse for that matter.
I personally find him to be one of the most despicable people in sports, and hope his life was filled with as much misery as he created for others. |

Art also fired Paul Brown because of his own ego. Than when Jim Brown was making a movie Art told him to get back or retire. Well we know Brown retired. _________________ browns and indian fan 7272

| Ahmen Ditchdigger. He did not have to move the team. He could have sold and still ended up the same way he did: Not owning an NFL team. Instead, his ego got in the way and he screwed the most loyal fan base (and if anyone questions that look at the continuous sellouts since 99 despite the divsion 1AA team on the field) out of a team that has gone on to amazing success. Screw Art. Shame on Baltimore fans for not recognizing the hypocracy, and may Art rot in Hell. |

That quote says it all. Shoot.....I would go back to my roots just to be there for it. Even though Modell has done great things for the NFL as a company, he'll still have to comeback to face the people he betrayed. Our town. Our state. Our team.
Plus......I doubt his family wants to contend with these very passionate fans. Something straight up would happen during his annugeration. Whether people will stand outside the HOF and boo during the speech or possibly worse. He wouldn't get in quietly that's for sure. _________________
