Loadholt needs to be the priority before Free Agency.

I think if we're unsuccessful in the early free agency period for a replacement LB, then 1 of Henderson/Brikley can be brought back, if still available, right before the draft. (not in the early phases of the free agency period).

The early phases of Free Agency would be trying to land starting quality (WR, LB, DT, OG, or S), as I see thought areas as needing addressing. I also think backup QB is an area to look at to keep our options open.

For now we just need to focus on our RfAs and ERfas. I appreciate looking ahead but for now we need to come to a consensus on them.

I also don't want to get "free agent happy." We aren't going to add free agent starters at a lot of positions. That's my personal view but ill leave it up to you guys.

I think we need to retain our RFA and ERFA's, and like others have said, try and restructure the two, then look for cheaper options who have been starters but were injured, young, etc. like Spielman would do, we aren't going to break the bank on all that many FA's in my hopes. No insane offers.

I agree. I would retain our Restricted FA's, try to add a little cap room with restructures then try to fill 1 or 2 starter spots with value FA signings (safety and guard? Maybe).

Personally i dont see us getting much for Carlson, might as well keep him.

As far as free agency, Phil Loadholt needs to be resigned. And i wouldnt think that any big names should be signed. Maybe one or two signings that could compete for a starting job. (Kenny Phillips and Brian Hartline are two guys whom i think would be under-rated signings)

Ok, so far we have a couple positions in which we have scouts.

Nzd07 - WR, TE, or RB.
The Gnat - LB, DB
arKnaD7 - WR
fishtanked - Oline, Dline
d rick68 - LB, OL, S scout

And quite a few others that havent stated which positions they would like to scout.

As of now it looks like people think we should extend offers to...

ERFA - Marcus Sherels, Troy Kropog, and Andrew Sendejo
RFA - AJ Jefferson

My initial reaction is to just give Jefferson the lowest tender which is Right of First Refusal ($1.26M)

I believe ERFA's carry a hit around $600K

It also looks like most people think we should extend Jared Allen and restructure Kevin Williams. I agree, UMN and I can get to work on those unless someone else has a differing opinion?

Next thing to do would be to establish a starting trade block. I think we should at least put Percy Harvin on it to get some trade feelers. Anybody else that should be included?
