I think Dix is finally starting to run better. He's been in the system a while and is solid on STs too. We have a bunch of late rd picks... so I personally wouldn't trade him unless we're talking 5th round value at least.

It depends how high we are on Jewel Hampton, I'd say. What's our opinion on him?

Can't really say from personal viewing.. but I remember reading some 49ers fans on here and elsewhere that feel he has a lot of potential.

Personally i dont want to get rid of Dixon. We cant afford to lose too much of our Tony Montana Squad and i think Dixon is a great teammate and serviceable short yardage back

Was there ever a value mentioned from the trade talks?

.. and yeah, I am fine either way. Just saying, if we do trade him, let's do it for more than a meager 6th/7th rounder.

Is Randy Moss returning? Can we trust than Mario will be the same guy after the injury? How soon can we replace Walker? Wink

hahha..

Looked like we could only have a chance to re-sign 1 of our UFAs? Is that right? If so.. I guess we gotta let Randy take a walk... and then decide who to keep from hitting the FA market.

S Dashon Goldson (SF): 7.77 million

Still cheaper than what it would be to tag Ice.. So maybe we tag Goldson and try to lock up Sop for 3-4 yra?

Grant, RJF, Walker, Moss, LDavis, Gooden, Ginn, McBath, Haggans, Brock(RFA) would then be our possible losses.. IMO Grant, RJF, McBath and Gooden should be pursued in the shark tank.. Unsure/dont care about the rest.

I can try to figure what the cap will look like with some expected trades/cuts when I get a chance to be on a pc

What position would you like to hold?

Ninerfanwheelz:

Would you want to do college scouting? I need someone or a few people to keep tabs on college players and who might fit well with us.

I can do that. I haven't done as much research as people like oldie yet, but you can put me down for that.

As for Dix, we should probably keep him. We have enough late round picks and he is a solid ST'er

So I'm thinking we don't really need to make any huge splashes in free agency. I think looking for some serviceable low cost back ups is all that we should need from free agents. The only position I think is different would be kicker. My initial thought is drafting a kicker and signing a free agent and letting the best man win.

Yeah, I'd be happy avoiding as much of the FA garbage in FFMD as possible. Let the other teams throw 18 million per year on a Dwayne Bowe or Cliff Avril. Maybe we can try to get a few of our lower-end guys back.. but mostly just building through the draft.

To the GM, AGM and/or capologist:

http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=512150&highlight=

This thread will be used to post announcements to the general manager regarding game rules, schedule changes and procedural requests. It should be saved in your GM's post history but anyone else who wishes to follow updates should check there.

This will only be for mechanics, not signings or in-mock news

Well if you're good with cap stuff you can do that or you can be the director of NFL Free Agent scouting
