I'd say about 5 or 6 million... which is pretty much all that is left once Goldson's 7.7 mil F-tag gets accounted for. Can honestly say, I am HAPPY to completely avoid the hot mess that will be FFMD free agency. |
Agreed.. Talent agency is a joke, and the shark tank is a giant headache.. _________________

I am enamored with one guy in particular, hes got everything. IMO 3rd round QB shouldn't be out of the question _________________

How about Colin Klein? 6th rounder or so should get him. He could be a beast tight end. plus his name is Colin _________________

Yeah as a later round guy id be all for it. Could sit and learn as the QB3 and maybe develop into something. Personally, I love EJ Manuel. _________________

How do you guys feel about a 3 team deal that looks something like this?
A team in the mid 20's draft wise sends you this package:
1st round pick
2nd round pick
4th round pick
Next years 1st round pick
Next years 2nd round pick
The Chiefs add in this package:
2nd round pick (essentially a late 1st rounder)
3rd round pick
swap remaining picks in draft (moving you up in 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds)
Next years 1st round pick
Next years 2nd round pick
Kirk Cousins
You send the Chiefs this player:
Colin Kaepernick _________________

That offer to a team that has shown it can win games and be just as competitive without Kaepernick is a serious offer. Harbaugh can make any QB look good.
You get to add more talent to your team through the draft. After this trade your draft setup looks like this
two 1st round picks
three 2nd round picks (one of those is basically a late 1st rounder)
two 3rd round picks
two 4th round picks
moving up from bottom of 5th, 6th, 7th rounds to top
and in next years draft
three 1st round picks
three 2nd round picks
+ Kirk Cousins who has the potential to be another Kaepernick under Harbaugh. It's definitely a serious offer. Adding five 1st and 2nd round talents to your already stacked team + next year adding three 1st round talents and two 2nd round talents and your team will be better off and more competitive than it was with Kaepernick. _________________

This is the craziest offer in the history of FFMD, and FFMD is far from serious. Let me explain this realistically: We have a young QB with unlimited potential we pay next to nothing. We have an already pretty loaded team. And we already have more draft picks than we need, because we only have a few roster spots open for competition. So it's a big NO on all fronts. And please realise FFMD isn't an extension of Madden, nor a conduit for your wet dreams. It's simply an attempt by a community of football fans to predict what their favorite teams could or should do. And in this case, this trade is not one our or any team should do. This isn't Madden or the NBA.
And I'm not sure, but last time I checked, Kirk Cousin wasn't the Chiefs' to trade. Because, huh, he plays for the redskins? _________________

... woke up an angry man, rudyZ?
- Cousins is a Chief now... they traded for him.
- I suggested he post this trade offer here. Via PM, I stated that aside from the lack of realism, I'd have considered this trade had we not been forced to trade Alex already. I don't want to not have a starting quality QB to start the year.. and really, this trade would create far too much rioting madness around FF. _________________

I wouldn't consider this trade BECAUSE of the lack or realism. IS FFMD an attempt at some kind of realism, or can we just do anything we want? Let's unretire Jerry Rice to fill our need at receiver. We can. FFMD is not meant to be realistic. Hey! Let's trade our entire draft to move up and draft Ricky Williams!! Ok, that one has actually happened... _________________

Oh yeah... I get you. FFMD is a game, and people look to play it in different ways. So I don't take a huge issue with that. I hate the trade because it was offered AFTER we dumped our other starting caliber QB. I think.. in a trollish way.. it would be fun to see how this trade would get people yapping and having a fit. Even had the trade been offered earlier, I know peeps would have freaked out and been adamant about keeping Kaep anyway...
... but yeah... no thanks to losing Kaepernick at this point. _________________
