I think the first thing we need to do is decide what we wanna do with the free agents correct?

So personally I'd sort the free agents into three tiers.

Tier 1 - Need to Keep
Andre Smith (T/UFA)
Josh Brown (K/UFA) OR Mike Nugent (K/UFA)
Bruce Gradkowski (QB/UFA)
Clark Harris (LS/UFA)
Kevin Huber (P/UFA)
Adam Jones (CB/UFA)
Michael Johnson (DE/UFA)
Thomas Howard (LB/UFA) OR Manny Lawson (LB/UFA)
Andrew Hawkins (WR/ERFA)

Tier 2 - Luxuries, would be nice to retain
Thomas Howard (LB/UFA) OR Manny Lawson (LB/UFA) [whichever isn't signed as our primary choice as LB]
Josh Brown (K/UFA) OR Mike Nugent (K/UFA) [whichever isn't signed as our primary kicker]
Wallace Gilberry (DE/UFA)
Pat Sims (DT/UFA)
Cedric Peerman (RB/RFA)
Terence Newman (CB/UFA)
Chris Crocker (S/UFA)

Tier 3 - Don't need
Dan Skuta (LB/UFA)
Brandon Tate (WR/UFA)
Vincent Rey (LB/ERFA)
Nate Clements (CB/UFA)
Robert Geathers (DE/UFA)
Brian Leonard (RB/UFA)
Rey Maualuga (LB/UFA)
Richard Quinn (TE/UFA)
Bernard Scott (RB/UFA)
Jeromy Miles (S/RFA)

Any disagreements? Let me know if there's anything you'd say should be changed here/rearranged, this is just my opinion and it's obviously a group collaborative effort with johndeere as the head man

I agree with your above guys. But I would bring back Howard over Lawson without any question.

In this thing Sims will get paid by someone.

I think Gilberry should be tier 1 while Gradkowski shouldbe tier 2.

With ^that, is there anyone on our roster we'd be interested to place on the trade block?

Jason Allen and Taylor Mays are the only two guys I'd consider putting on there.

Anyone we would think about cutting also?

It's best to use your franchise tag on someone you really want to keep in this thing. I suggest putting it on Andre Smith.

I agree with your list above ark.

The first thing we need to decide is what erfa and rfa we are keeping and what tenders we will be placing on them. Also start deciding who gets the tag.

I always say this but I'd like to make this realistic.

Limit our trades is the main thing. I've already been asked about our interest in Trent Cole.

I would also put Kyle Cook, Jermaine Gresham, and Anthony Collins on the trade block to see what offers are out there

Agreed with these guys.

I think we should franchise Andre. MJ will be easier to replace if we can't resign him.

Also put AJ on the block Wink

Fair enough. But asking price for Gresham should be steep in my opinion. He's a talented guy, It would take a lot to pry him away but we shouldn't be close minded - at least see what's out there.

Hawkins and Peerman would be the guys I'd say we keep for RFA.

Dennis Roland is a UFA but missing from the list.

We don't need to worry about the ERFAs (Hawkins and V Rey) since they automatically re-sign if we offer them a vet minimum contract. Our RFAs (Peerman and Miles) are useful backup players but aren't worth even the lowest RFA tag number. We should be able to re-sign them from the shark tank for not much more than vet minimum or if not they are easily replaced.

In FFMD teams are allowed to restructure or extend up to 3 players before tags and tenders have to be announced. Andre Smith and Michael Johnson are obvious candidates. Who should be our other guy? We don't really need to restructure anyone. Maybe Adam Jones or Wallace Gillberry? For this year's FFMD we don't really have to worry about Dunlap or Atkins.

For the trade block, my suggestion is that nobody is untouchable so make us an offer. If they want Atkins or Green, it better be a big offer but there are players I'd trade either for.

I hope you guys take a look at drafting Oklahoma LB Tom Wort and/or Menilak Watson OT Fla.St.

Its a big year for UK gridiron fans, as both these guys are British, and could be the first Brits to get drafted and play in the NFL; (not counting a couple of kickers).

I'm kinda hoping one of them ends with the Bengals......

Maybe I'm off, but I feel like it will be easy to resign Andre Smith than Michael Johnson. I guess I'd sign MJ using that logic.
