BENGALS WAR ROOM
FFMD 2013

Welcome everyone to this year's 2013 FFMD. I am your GM/Dictator again this year and am looking forward to mocking this offseason for our beloved Bengals. If you are new to this, basically we complete a 'mock' offseason for the Bengals that includes free agency, trades, and the draft. Each team must keep track of their salary cap and roster. Now before we get into all the complexities of this game, we need to set a staff.

Bengals Staff
GM- johndeere1707

As GM I will oversee the entire operation and be the deciding factor on all decisions, although I encourage the group to come to a decision together. Only the GM and AGM can bid on FA's and post draft picks as well as make trades.

Assistant GM- ark23

The AGM will step in when the GM is unable to fulfill his duties at the time. All GM's powers are given to AGM and he plays the 2nd most important role.

Capologist- TheVillain112

Keeps track of salary cap numbers and helps come up with contracts for free agents.

Head Coach- sparky151

Focuses on both offensive and defensive talent in the draft and free agency

Offensive Coordinator- ochocinco4pres

Focuses on offensive talent in the draft and free agency

Defensive Coordinator- BengalsEra

Focuses on defensive talent in the draft and free agency

Scouts- RedGreenShow, INBengalFan

Everyone else in the forum can be a scout and put their input in on decisions

Can I be assistant GM? We should probably try to re-sign Andre and MJ before free agency opens. In FFMD sought after players tend to go for ridiculous amounts as teams spend every nickel they can in the current year. So MJ will be bid up to Mario Williams type numbers. Tracy Porter got 18 mil per season guaranteed in FFMD last year because he was the last starting caliber CB left.

Our ERFAs should get minimum salary offers since they can't leave. I'd suggest not tendering Jeromy Miles and Cedric Peerman. Their open market value is probably less than the RFA tender amounts. In real life the Bengals tendered Dan Skuta and Clark Harris at the right of first refusal amount so they made more last year than Andy Dalton. We shouldn't repeat that.

If I was on here more often I would take the head coach job, but since I can't commit a ton of time I would just like to be a scout please.

I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to you all. I am iPwn/pwny/50millionothernames. I will be the AFC North division's liaison for this version of FFMD.

Essentially, my job is to make sure your voice is heard. In years past, FFMD has sometimes come across as a having a bit of a totalitarianism sense to it, where some people have felt as though the moderation staff wasn't acting fairly with rules or wasn't listening to valid complaints. That's where I come in. Rather than voicing your complaint with the mods that are running FFMD, you will send all of those to me (a mod not running FFMD Wink ), and I'll make sure they get resolved, dealt with, or set up for future games in a fair manner.

Hopefully we never have to speak, but if there is something you need, don't hesitate to contact me.

I was thinking I'd like to get the Anthony Munoz/Jim McNally gig of part time (read:show up if and when I want) scout.

What that really means is that I will help, but can't always be counted on to make picks at specific times of a workday. My principal might not like that. Unless I could convince her that being capologist was the same as teaching any of my math classes.

I have a fairly light courseload this semester so I'd love to be assistant GM if possible. If not I'll take whatever else I can get.
