Now that he has been released by the Colts, do you think there is any chance the Dolphins consider signing Dwight Freeney? Would he make a nice compliment to Cameron Wake? Or has time just passed him by? _________________

bit old I would suggest, but if we get nothing in the draft and he is still out there who knows. _________________

| Heck why not? Miami might lose 2 leaders in Bush and Long and he can get to the QB |

We have the cap space, it feels a need, and he would teach Vernon a lot. I doubt he'd be incredibly expensive, and it's a buyers market for DEs this year. _________________

Depends on the cost. He would add another pass rusher which we sorely lack. Plus like stated I think he could possibly be a decent vet/teacher. Cam Wake is great but he does not have a multitude of pass rush moves in his arsenal. Imagine him learning Dwights patented spin move... _________________

We already have an older pass rusher. We need to get younger their, I'd rather use the money elsewhere and draft pass rusher. That said, I am a Freeny fan so I wouldn't oppose it if it was cheap. _________________

If it's a Dolphin friendly contract, I'm all for bringing in Dwight Freeny. That being said, I don't think he's looking to play for cheap or for a 1-2 year deal.
I think he could be a good stop gap in our 4-3 for a year while we use this draft to fill Offensive needs. |

One of the arguments in favor of signing him might actually be the salary floor, which is 90% of the cap. If we find ourselves needing to get someone signed to make it over the floor, Freeny could be signed on a one year contract. But I don't think that will be a problem. _________________ Earn more sessions by sleeving. |

We had 2 older pass rushers in Jason Taylor and Joey Porter and look what they did with Wake. Maybe Wake and Freeney could work with Vernon |

He'll be 33 at the start of next season and had 5 sacks last year. It doesn't matter what he wants. That's what players like him get at this stage of their careers.
At the right price, I'd be in favor of it. I'm really high on Vernon's upside, but I'm not sure he's ready to be a disruptive every-down player, so a veteran to bridge the gap opposite Wake would make some sense--especially if he can help Vernon reach his potential. |

With Vernon playing good as OLB and the resent stuff happening with Misi I think this could be a possibility. We would have 2 pass rushers on the outside then who demand double team just by their names. If the price is right then set me up _________________

I'm not a fan of him, he gets his sacks in garbage time.
How good is Dwight Freeney against the run? _________________

Freeney (IMO) is pass his prime.. Avril is young still and had 9.5 sacks last season.. good production over last few seasons.. and who's the other DE for Detroit ? IMO with Wake on the other side.. Avril could be a 12-13 sack guy.. IMO |
