Update on the trade front:
Miami gets
DHB
Raiders 3rd
Raiders get
Solia
Miami 3rd
Miami 7th
I think this is a good trade imo. We move up in the 3rd and upgrade the WR position. _________________

I have submitted the Smith offer to EZ.
Good offer so we should be ok.
That's me done for the night. If someone wants to look into a restructure for Hall then please do I'm sure Pd47 or Pat will be on later.
I have made my thoughts on Soliai and Starks so over to you guys. Please don't trade Soliai for the sake of making a trade and accept less than value for him. _________________

I would say this is DHB (4th IMO) and a 5th which is below value.
Someone mentioned DHB may be cut??? What is his cap hit?.?? Appears to be 10mil? If I read that right I would not want him at all. I knew it was high but didn't think it was that high, I may be wrong. _________________

It's pretty high. Don't remember exactly, I think it's close to $8M
Edit: Damn you're right its $10M, restructure maybe? _________________

I would put it as trade only accepted if he restructured contract. _________________

If he restructures his contract, it's a yes for me. We get our deep threat and then replace the loss of Soliai by tagging Starks. We lose a 7th but move up in the 3rd. I like it. _________________

Any restructure only saves about 2M which is not enough. They are designed only for veterans that you know will be on the team and are slight pay cuts to help the team get under the cap. You are thinking of an extension which is not guaranteed plus he has no reason to take it. Wait for him to get cut or go elsewhere. Has anyone sent in the Smith contract? _________________

Everyone is doing restructures on high price players. Guys like arian foster and calvin johnson are getting restructured.
Solia has a cap hit of $7.8mill
DHB has a cap hit of $10.6
If we restructure and reduce by $2 mill it would bring it down to $8mill which only adds $1-2 mill to our cap. _________________

DHB had 606 receiving yards last year and we're going to trade Soliai for him? _________________

I think we've had 3 votes that we're in favor of the trade, the rest of the staff said no or haven't voted yet. _________________

Then is your final ruling that you are no longer agreeing to the trade despite the Hall extension potential? Or do you need more time this evening to discuss it. _________________

We've had alot of time to reach an agreement and we haven't done much progress. I think this deal is dead. _________________
