I think we should maybe talk to the Saints about Jackal - given salary and age, plus a bunch of guys on roster and available in FA and the draft, to fit that role.

The Saints are switching, but are much closer than us to a championship - maybe we could get a decent pick or player (Jenkins, Strief) out of the deal.

Jackal is also an older player and we have other, younger players who fit that position on the roster and as I said, lower cost players in free agency and the draft could provide depth at those spots.

If we can get decent return for Jackal - either in player form or pick - I think it's at least worth considering.

If they would be willing to do Malcolm Jenkins - he would start for us, as well, Strief also would be a potential starter.

If it's a pick we save cap room to help elsewhere on the roster.
