Ok so I think it's time to start preparing for the draft. Since I have the Head of Scouting Role, I'm going to ask each position coach to PM me prospects that would have a good fit on this team. And it would also be nice if you could send me one player from your particular position that could be drafted with each of our picks.

Sounds good..also send a copy of the reports to each of your coordinators

As director of college scouting, I have constructed my first "big board" I'll post it tomorrow, it's all coded. It's a preliminary thing, wanting to see how everybody feels about it and waiting for positional coaches to produce more in-depth scouting reports so we can form our official "big board".

Also, Roll any scouting reports you receive I would like to get copies of as well. And Kilty if you would prefer I send my list to you first, I can do that.

Yea send it to me...then I'll give it to UK...think he's going to make a google doc of it

I've got a coded and uncoded version, I'll send both and do what you have to do with them. It's top 50, with 20 "interesting" later round guys

Are we drafting based on need or simply going BPA?

UK I think you should add every name brought up in trades, even if it's just hypothetical or brief, to the code list. Players like the second best P on E17s old team, or the best K on the team that drafted A9 should be on the code list.

As far as I know there are no trade discussions going on. If there were, it takes me two minutes to add a code to a player. See the Trade Targets section of the FA code list. Trade targets won't be covered the same way as FAs or Draft picks because those lists will change and be updated continuously.

If you give me the list I'll highlight them in the prospects list.

We may have another problem.

Rules say we can sign One of our FAs. I don't yet know this means 1 at a time, or 1 in total. So we need to put together a priority order for them.

I have bolded our FAs in the list.

Personally I would do them in this order.

1. elephant
2. ox
3. sheep
4. platypus - maybe

Let walk
chipmunk, newt, rabbit, goat

If everyone ranks them with a number I'll add them all up, and the lowest point scorer we'll address first.

Platypus to me is worth it, thought he played well...at worse is decent depth.

There are some decent players in the trade block, I'll assign them all codes now in an hour or so when I get out of a meeting.

If it's insane value though you still have to take that player, obviously being that it's a bad year for RBs that's not a good example.
