A good hire but I would never consider Al Harris a lockdown corner. |

I'd call him hit or miss, very high risk/high reward. Could make a HUGE play, could get beat badly with a wrong read. Very good player at the least. _________________

I agree. I was going to say something along those lines but was too lazy.
None the less a good hire. |

This has all the backing of the Carnell Lake signing for the Steelers a couple of years ago. Because of that Lake signing the Steelers cornerbacks have been playing outstanding. I see Flowers finally getting back to top 7 status. _________________

Probably would have said the same thing about Carnell Lake. I don't think there is a better DB coach in the league right now. _________________

He interned last in Miami Under Coach Philbin and Co. , but I assume you meant more than just an internship _________________

...however, your statement is that Flowers can "finally get back to top 7 status," correct? Given injuries (Revis, Webb) and guys taking step backwards this past season (Bailey, Asomugha, Joseph) altering that imaginary slotting we all pretend to know, wouldn't the 2012 season indicate that Flowers has ALREADY made it back to the benchmark you placed before him?
Just curious. _________________

How can everybody call it a good hire when he never coached a game before? I will pass judgement until after 3 years |

I meant returning to that level of 3 years ago when he was a top 4 guy in my opinion. He might be top 7 de facto but I mean top 7 based solely on play not other guys getting injured, etc. _________________

A.) Our DBs aren't as talented as Seattles
B.) Our Best 2 DBs missed a combined 12 games yet we finished #1 in Pass Defense with absolutely no pass rush _________________
