Before anything, I want to say I do NOT want Smith. That being said..
If the regime wants a new QB, couldn't the look at Smith? No one has said they liked Weeden, so that seems a bit strange.
Smith fits exactly what Chud and Norv want. Big armed QB who has decent mobility and good accuracy. He's not going to run for a ton of yards but if flushed out of the pocket could be successful.
Take account the top 5 players (besides Smith)
Luke Joekel
Dee Milliner
Bjoern Werner
Star L.
Damontre Moore
If these players go in the top 5, then these players would be in consideration:
Jarvis Jones (Career threatening injury?)
Bark (Reach/Inconsistent play)
Dion J (Injury ?'s)
Warmack (Guard at 6 is too high)
Trade Down (What if no partner is to come up?)
Like I said, I don't want him it's just a possibility. _________________

I like Geno, but if the Browns draft a QB at #6 I might just toss my TV out the window... _________________

After reading Turners interview, I think Weeden is in the plans for this year.
"When I look at the tape I see a guy who can be a really good player," said Turner. "He’s going to have an opportunity to go compete, play and grow and I’m excited to be working with him."
I think they are just leaving the door open to competition. |

| I expect a mid round, big-armed, developmental prospect. We need to wait and see what we get in free-agency. But I think this draft is going to be D heavy. |

I think he could be a good QB, just not #6 overall good.
I would accept it if we trade down to like the 20's and somehow he was there. _________________

the biggest thing for me that I have seen about Geno is, that it seems when teams start to get pressure on him He crumbles. just look at the past two times they played Syracuse. last year not this year when they came to the dome it was Chandler Jones first game back from injury, and he and the rest of the defense were in the back field all night long and Geno while his stats looked good did not play good at all, God that was an awesome game to be at. then look at this year in the pinstripe bowl Scott Shafer was sending people at him all game and he was just not good. _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

Can't see past Andy Reid taking Geno at #1.
Have a feeling if we draft a QB, it will be Dysert if he is still there from the 4th round onwards. |

And Heckert would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling CEOs. |

Come on Andy Reid Geno Smith this has HOF implications Reid wins 1 SB with Smith he will certainly go don as a HOFer.
Geno Smith primary target was 5'9 & the rest of those guys were all shorts to.
Name a West Virginia O-lineman.
I would have to call 911
Honestly tho the more I think about it. Norv + Weeds with all that talent next season is going to be highly productive on the O-side. |
