I don't see many guys talking about him, but here's a guy who has had success at every position on the o-line, including left tackle. I know he's badly hurt, but he played in the national championship game with the injury and still earned kudos against the, ipso facto, highest level of competition. Add in that he's known as a leader who exhibits great intelligence and handles all the line calls and he has RKG written all over him.
Considering the state of our interior line, I don't understand why more people aren't interested in this guy. _________________

| I think injury may be a big issue. It is for me personally. If he falls to the 3rd or 4th, I would take a shot, but not before that. |

I'd take him on this team in a heart beat. Great person, great player, etc. Problem is his injury and his positional value. I think he's a 3rd rounder that could fall to the 4th. _________________

I love the guy. Playing with that injury tells you how tough and dedicated he is. Can play every position on the O Line at a high level. Intelligent, tough as nails, versatile, but hurt. Need to know the extent of the injury but I would love to have the guy. So are we looking at another Sean Lee/Bruce Carter scenario here? _________________ Northland |

I think this may be the case, and while he could end up providing excellent value, I simply think we have too many players already who spend too much time OFF the field. I don't care if you're the greatest player in the world, if you are only on the field half the time, I would rather have the #5-#10 player, who is on the field ALL the time. Another reason behind that is that when players like Lee and Carter (and Miles!) come up for contract, we give them so much money that we can't afford quality backups, and thus end up totally screwed when they aren't on the field! I like Jones, but a 3rd would be the absolute highest I would go, and would probably wait til the 4th even. |

| Because of a strong interrior o line class, I wouldnt consider him before the 3rd earliest. |

Agree with you. It all depends on the severity of the injury and the time to heal. But he's a player. _________________ Northland |

I was a Jones supporter until the lisfranc situation came up. Lately we have drafted previously injured players and they continue to get injured. I would pass on Jones. _________________ A circle. The direction the Cowboys continue to travel. |

I think the 3rd-4th round is a fair projection for Jones as of right now due to injury.
I think if we target center, someone like Travis Frederick in round 2 or Brian Schwenke in the 4th/5th round might be safer bets. _________________

He played through the injury but now he's had the surgery. Pushing a Lisfranc recovery can very often cause complications to the injury.
I think you are very likely looking at a Sean Lee type timeline to his rookie season. So you have to take that into your evaluation. If he's there in the 3rd, I would take him in a heartbeat. In the second would give me pause. _________________
