Bleacherreport has an article about the possibility of the Jets looking to trade Darelle Revis because they are not sure they will be able to resign him.
| Quote: | The New York Jets, fresh off an exhaustive hunt for new general manager John Idzik, will explore options to deal star corner Darrelle Revis this offseason, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
Revis, whose contract voids after the 2014 season, is set to earn $6 million in 2013 (between salary and bonuses), and owner Woody Johnson has strong reservations about the ability to extend Revis's deal, the sources said. |
Now obviously we will need some assurance we can resign him. However, Revis is 27 years old and still in his prime. He and Haden would form the best CB duo in the league by far. We would be able to shut down almost every teams passing attack by taking out there top two targets. This would allow Horton to go crazy developing blitz schemes using any number of positions. _________________

No thanks. His ego and being the #2 CB wouldn't fit well. I'd rather draft a CB at 6 and pay him half the money or sign Lewis or Toler. _________________ Trent Richardson please!!! |

Other than the fact that he would be the number one CB on this team.
That said; More worried about the knee than the contract. |

No. He wouldn't. And if he was that's even more reason to not trade for him. You would want to move Haden from what he's doing and risk his success? _________________ Trent Richardson please!!! |

| He is easily the best corner in the league. How you guys say pass is beyond me. If we can.extend him I would throw in a 5th too. |

No. do not trade the 6th pick for anyone. i'm sick of the Browns trading away high picks and missing out on great rookies. i'm still hella pissed that Julio Jones is not a Brown. _________________

I think I would offer #6, our 3rd and 5th this year, and a conditional pick next year (either a 2nd or 3rd depending on how many games he plays) for Revis and #9. They can probably get better offers, but I don't want to give up the farm for him. _________________

| 2 years ago yes. But not now. He's too injury prone and will be 28 in July. |

If the draft goes without any QBs going top 5, and they are still shopping him, and he can pass a physical, then yes. I don't care about his ego, pay him, he's worth the money. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Anybody thinking of trading the #6 pick in the draft for a 30 yo CB coming off an ACL...and going to want HUGE money......LOL, should have their head and shoulders examined very closely.... _________________ -A team is built through the Draft.
