Graham Harrell is of low cost. You can't have talented players cheap after their first contract unless you are a title contender. Coffee is for closers. _________________

Jennings makes some sense. Tramon makes none. He is a bad contract right now. Wouldn't be smart to give up anything of value to take on his contract. It's bad value by itself. |

Detroit makes sense but they're already paying 3 guys a combined 50M next season. SF will be picking #31-32 so they could give up their 1st. _________________

- Carlos Rogers + San Fran's 2013 1st. The Jets can't use Carlos Rogers for any reason. They're rebuilding. Why would they want his salary when they already have Cro and Wilson? The only reason keeping Revis is even in consideration is because of what he means to Jets fans. _________________

Jennings makes no sense either. A) They outlawed tag and trades and B) why would the Jets want a guy on a one year contract who has been injured for the past couple of years anyways? _________________

I'm telling you, no team is going to part ways with a 1st rd pick with Revis coming off of ACL surgery. Not gonna happen.
The best value the Jets will get will be a player(s) for player(s) and maybe a mid rd pick added.
Specially with him needing a *new* monster contract, that he will demand.
And no trade is happening without a *new* deal being struck with him during the trade.
And when the Jets find out, that what I say is true...?
The best deal they will get will be from the Washington Redskins.
And that deal will be something like this...
Redskins= trade OLB Brian Orakpo (FA in 2014) & QB Kurt Cousins (very cheap for the production he will give you, which is a 4th rd salary. This is something the Jets need with the deal Sanchez currently has)
for
Jets= CB Darrelle Revis & QB Tim Tebow (can and will be in a system he can run-Pistol/Read Option)
Maybe the Skins throw in a mid-rd pick like a 4th or 5th rounder?
None of this happens though, until Revis agrees with a long term deal during the trade. (specially with his NO-Franchise Tag clause in his current deal)
No team is trading him for a 1 & done.
Yes, I think the Redskins despite, not having a 1st rd pick...
Land the best CB in the game coming off ACL surgery, in CB Darrelle Revis.
...and Tebow lands in a much happier situation as well.
(Neither have to pick up and move far, because of location, which will be important to them I'm betting)
Redskins will have to restructure deals though, which they plan on anyways.
Mainly because of crime lord evil boss in John Mara & the 18M screwjob.
So Revis will have a low number this 2013 season. (or affordable)
but after that, the Redskins get the 18 M back & will be way under the cap starting the 2014 season.
If anyone can pull this off? It's the Redskins
And if anyone has the footballs to make this move, we all know the Redskins can.
But Jets fans are dreaming, if they think they're landing a 1st rd pick.
Not happening.
A great player or 2 with a 1st rd grade? Absolutely..
But not a 1st rd pick at face value. _________________

And 1 more thing...
remember when the Redskins had Champ Bailey?
He was arguably a top 3 CB at that time. (He's on his way to the HOF) right?
Not only did the Redskins NOT get a 1st rd pick for Champ, they had to trade AWAY a 2nd rd pick just to get a player like RB Clinton Portis.
Now don't get me wrong. Portis is a great player.
Now Revis may or may not have better value than Champ did at that time.
But I would think coming off of an ACL surgery, has to temper a teams expectations...a little. Right?
Again...I think the best value the jets can get here, is a player(s) for (players) trade.
Maybe they get a mid rounder thrown in there.
With what Revis wants in Money, no way in hell is a team throwing a 1st rounder in the Jets direction.
Ain't happening, friends. _________________

Revis is the best CB in the league. Stop this craziness where no one would offer a first for him. _________________

I don't think the Jets are that dysfunctional. _________________

I would actually love that, but I'm a huge Britt fan and have been since his Rutgers days. Throw in a 2014 conditional pick and I'd be all over that. _________________
