The Jets won't get a one and two (no way), but teams think the Jets can get a nice gaggle of picks and a player.
Sources say one of the teams highly interested is the New England Patriots, but not even the Jets, who have made some screwy decisions over the years, would trade Revis to the division-rival Patriots and, in the process, hand them a Super Bowl.
Other teams highly interested, I'm told, are Denver, San Francisco, Buffalo (not happening -- division rival), and even Seattle, which already has some of the best defensive backs in the game. One team also constantly mentioned by league sources is Green Bay, though the Packers, possessors of one of the best front offices in all of sports, usually don't give up high-round picks. |

No rule says you can't tag and trade him, just that you can't tag him with the intent to trade him. Tag, offer something too low, say you thought he would sign for that, trade, profit. We will see a tag and trade this year. |
They did in FFMD, but not in real life. _________________

Make that 2014 pick conditional (up to a 1st if Revis is an all-pro, low as a 5th if he plays less than 50% of the defensive snaps), and I might be able to get behind that. The only issue would be compensation for Flynn and Trufant (who I'd strike from the trade to be honest). |

Trufant can stay in if we throw in Sanchez. _________________

Uhhhhh, if the 49ers or Seahawks got Darrelle Revis that would be horrible. I don't really care if Revis is coming off an ACL tear, lots of players in sports get that injury and come back fine. _________________

Agreed. If you really want to trade away a cornerstone player, Antonio Cromartie would make more sense. He is coming off the best season of his career and his value will probably never be higher. |
AC even after a good year is NOT a cornerstone _________________

Anyone that was a active participant in the "Claibrone vs Jenkins vs Gilmore" thread. Should find this packer post funny. _________________

I promise you Flynn will not be cut. This upcoming draft class is just so weak that there will be a market for him. If Seattle traded for Revis I would imagine that it would be something like Flynn, Browner and some high draft pick. There's no way Seattle keep Browner and sign Revis. _________________
