EDIT: so we pay a steep price for Revis. Means nothing if your bottom 5 in the league in sacks. So what does that do ? |
The pass rush wasn't the problem. Case in point, the Philly game. |
Explain why we were bottom 5 in sacks again? Both are areas of concern.
We couldn't generate squat the entire year up front. Philly had one of te worst olines in te league. And you point to one game? |
So you want us to draft a DE at 13? |
Last time I checked the best teams draft BPA. I'm warming up to taking Sheldon Richardson or jonathon Hankins their. Both are disruptive. Hankins has very good first step and very strong. Excellent complimt to McCoy. |
What good is drafting them if we are at the bottom of the league in pass coverage?
(using your logic). |
Bc getting pressure on the cb limits the amount of time your secondary has to cover the opposing Wrs. You can have Revis back their but f you're not getting after the qb he's going to shred any secondary with no pressure.
I'm saying both need to be addressed. But look how the giants are built. The ravens. Niners. They pressure the qb. |

We need to address both. That's the most relevant point. And Revis, FA or draft, is the BPA. _________________

Pretty odd that you decided to use those three teams considering that none of them were in the top-10 for sacks this year... _________________

That's the other part to this story. Would Revis even want to come here? |

W-T-F the Jets fans have lost their minds!!!
"If we trade him to Tampa I want Doug Martin, Mark Barron and their 1st round pick this year. We (Jets) send Revis, Sanchez and a 4th"
"I'd only trade him for a Rg3 type deal"
"2-3 1sts and I would think about"
"2-1sts and a conditional second that can turn into another 1st" _________________

I wouldn't take Sanchez for free. Honestly, I wouldn't give anything for that deal at all to be honest, just because Sanchez is involved. If it was Revis, Sanchez, and a 4th for free, no thanks. _________________

Before any of this is possible Revis has to agree to come to Tampa, pass a physical and look 100%, and AGREE to a long term deal.
Then, id gladly give up a 1st and 4th |

For perspective, Mario Williams signed a contract last March paying him $16 million per year but with "only" $50 million guaranteed. It made him the highest paid defensive player in league history. |

No way. His attitude is to get paid before playing football. Schiano wouldn't want this guy. That's what you pay a franchise qb. |
