While I agree with the fine, I'm absolutely shocked the NFL had the balls to fine Brady.

I always find it funny when people whine about some fines but if they agree with it then then the obviously correct ruling was handed down.

It was on national TV in an important game... if it was during a regular season game that happened in the afternoon, I don't think they would have fined him.

Actually Gore was fined $10,500 and Brady was fined $10,000 even 
So in the NFL, you're fined more for showing your calves than you are for an illegal or malicious slide that could've injured another player and looked to be intentional!

Do you think the league would have fined Brady on a questionable call that wasn't even called a penalty on the field either?
Personally, I don't really whine about fines. I actually agree with the fines for helmet hits on defenseless receivers, even though my team gets a lot. With the health implications, those hits have to be dealt with aggressively. I did disagree when they wanted to randomly suspend Reed for one, but they overturned that, so I was satisfied with the final ruling on that too.

This is the key thing people seem to be ignoring. It looked like it may have been intentional. Of course they aren't going to hit him with some enormous fine for something they can't concrete prove was intentional and it isn't like Brady is some repeat offender. So basically they fined him as if it was a penalty. His 10K is no different than what, say, Peppers had to pay for his hit on Rodgers back in the championship game.
