VR did this last year, so we'll put it up again since we're about a month away from Combine time...
Please list your Top 15 Big Board for the Vikings and about a week prior to the Combine, we'll compile the list of entries to get a composite Forum Big Board. You might want to consider which players could potentially be there at #23, but I'll leave that up to you to determine. You can use the following template if you choose to do so, but it's not required.
_____________'s Big Board
eg. 1. Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M (OT)
2. Star Lotulelei, Utah (DT)...
FINAL RESULTS
1. Alec Ogletree, OLB Georgia
2. Keenan Allen, WR California
3. Cordarelle Patterson, WR Tennessee
4. Kevin Minter, ILB LSU
5. Johnathan Banks, CB Mississippi State
6. Sharrif Floyd, DT Florida
7. Chance Warmack, OG Alabama
8. Justin Hunter, WR Tennessee
9. Manti Te'o, ILB Notre Dame
10. Sheldon Richardson, DT Missouri
11. Xavier Rhodes, CB Florida State
12. Kawann Short, DT Purdue
13. Arthur Brown, OLB Kansas State
14. DeAndre Hopkins, WR Clemson
15. Kenny Vaccaro, FS Texas
Notables on the outside, looking in: DeMarcus Milliner, CB Alabama; Jonathan Cooper, OG North Carolina; Star Lotulelei, DT Utah; Quinton Patton, WR Louisiana Tech; Johnathan Hankins, DT Ohio State _________________

I will do a top 15 big board, but I wont include the top guys who I assume will be gone, but I will include fringe guys who may or may not be taken. Its a crapshoot, but theres a given consensus among draftniks
1. Ogletree-LB-Georgia
2. Banks-CB-Miss St
3. Patterson-WR-Tennessee
4. Allen-WR-Cal
5. Richardson-DT-Mizzou
6. Hunter-WR-Tennessee
7. Vacarro-S-Texas
8. Short-DT-Purdue
9. Williams-WR-Baylor
10. Rhodes-CB-FSU
11. Greene-OLB-Rutgers
12. Jenkins-DT-Georgia
13. Hopkins-WR-Clemson
14. Cooper-OG-UNC
15. Minter-LB-LSU
I know I will most likely get ripped for having Minter so low, but I just havent seen enough of LSU. If he tests well and shows flexibility and potential as a cover guy, then he could rise up my boards. |

Who I would choose at pick 23: -- Bold represents higher likely available
(some prospect not listed as I'm expecting them to go higher)
1-DeMarcus Milliner
2-Johnathan Hankins
3-Johnthan Banks
4-Kevin Minter
5-Terrance Williams
6-Keenan Allen
7-Cordarrelle Patterson
8-Xavier Rhodes
9-Alec Ogletree
10-Sharrif Floyd
11-Kawann Short
12-Kenny Vaccaro
13-DeAndre Hopkins
14-Justin Hunter
15-Khaseem Greene
I rank Da'Rick Rogers / Larry Warford very highly as a 2nd round pick, which is why the absolute top of my board carries defensive players. _________________

For pick #23:
*edited post senior bowl
1. Cordarelle Patterson, WR
2. Kevin Minter, LB
3. Sheldon Richardson, DT
4. DeAndre Hopkins, WR
5. Sharrif Floyd, DT
6. Keenan Allen, WR
7. Alec Ogletree, LB
8. Xavier Rhodes, CB
9. Quinton Patton, WR
10. Arthur Brown, LB
11. Jonathan Banks, CB
12. Khaseem Green, LB
13. Jonathan Cyprien, S
14. Markus Wheaton, WR
15. Matt Elam, S
Just missed: Desmond Trufant, CB; Jonathan Hankins, DT; Larry Warford, OG
Thoughts:
*Class is very deep at DT, so unless a superb talent falls to us I think we should stay away in round 1.
*Ogletree needs to get his act together. At this point I'd take Minter ahead of him. He's a proven leader and all of LSU's coaches praise his work ethic.
*Keenan Allen is reportedly struggling to get separation. He was labeled as a "safe pick," but it's not looking that way any more. It'll probably take him a while to adjust to the NFL. I think he'll end up being a Crabtree type receiver.

I am too, but only if we retain Harvin.
If we aren't able to keep Harvin or we just chose to trade him then I very much hope we draft Patterson to replace all that athleticism we just lost. _________________

I'd much rather have Allen, more prototypical WCO receiver and plays better to Ponder's strengths. Williams comes from the spread offense so he'll take his time adjusting to outside WR in the NFL which is MUCH harder to get open in. |

I agree with this. My personal WR rankings for the Vikings would probably be:
1. Keenan Allen
2. DeAndre Hopkins
3. Da'Rick Rogers
4. Quinton Patton
5. Justin Hunter
6. Cordarrelle Patterson (Elite athlete, extremely raw WR)
7. Robert Woods
8. Terrance Williams (Reportedly really raw route running)
9. Tavon Austin
10. Aaron Dobson
Edit:
As for the actual topic:
1. Keenan Allen
2. Alec Ogletree
3. DeAndre Hopkins
4. Sheldon Richardson
5. Johnthan Banks
6. Arthur Brown
7. Kevin Minter
8. Kawann Short
9. Sharif Floyd
10. John Jenkins
11. Quinton Patton
12. Larry Warford
13. Justin Hunter
14. Cordarrelle Patterson
15. Kenny Vaccaro |

1. LB Alec Ogletree
2. WR Justin Hunter
3. DT Shariff Floyd
4. CB Johnathan Banks
5. WR Cordarrelle Patterson
6. DT Jesse Williams
7. DT Johnathan Hankins
Anything other than those 7 would be a disappointment. |

Wow I just looked at CBS rankings (updated yesterday) and I'm not even going to try. LOL, the rankings have changed so much that I'm struggling to adjust.
I'm going to say
1) WR Justin Hunter (Keenan Allen gone + late riser)
2) ILB Kevin Minter
3) BPA |

I think the CBs rankings are based on best player (now), and not necessarily based on where they think they will be drafted.
Essentially underclass prospects who may have a high progression curve, but are as of right now possibily behind seniors tend to be lower on the list. Its a Big Board, and not a Draft Board. _________________
