Some interesting comments from him.
| Quote: | | "Of course [I want to stay in Kansas City]," Albert said. "I've been here five years, I was drafted by the Chiefs. My home is there, been living there, and Chiefs fans for the most part have been kind to me. I want to be a Chief." |
| Quote: | | "I'm feeling pretty good," Albert told Parkins. "I just needed to get the proper rest I couldnt get during the season because I was trying to come back and finish the season strong." |
| Quote: | | "I've worked hard to be a left tackle in this league. I've worked hard on my craft. from where I started to where I'm at now is a hell of a jump. I'm not a guard. Point blank." |
Looks like he wants to stay and be a LT. So maybe no Joekel #1? _________________

The other day I saw somewhere that Dorsey had our medical staff check Albert out and I think that he was discussing a contract with him. I can't find the story anywhere now though. _________________

chief 82, just because Albert SAYS he's a LT doesn't mean squat. It's whether or not Andy and the GM say he's a LT that matters. Albert will play where they tell him, or he'll be gone. Period. The only thing Albert has a say in is playing the position good enough to actually be a LT.
Albert says he's worked hard to be a LT, polishing his craft, and from where he was to where he is was a hell of a jump.....OK, .....but maybe you're still not good enough to be the LT for the KC Chiefs. Doesn't make him a bad guy, just means he still may not be GOOD ENOUGH.
The right decisions will be made about him to satisfy the Chiefs....if Albert is satisfied, I guess thats good too, but satisfying Albert is not the issue here. It's getting the right LT for a good number of years so we don't have to have this stupid conversation about that position again....for awhile. _________________ season ticket holder from 1977-92. Well Albert isn't going to resign here unless it's as a left tackle. _________________

If Dorsey is truly looking at Albert's health then it seems like he's the one he wants to stick with at LT. If Albert checks out then Dorsey will hand the check out. _________________

I don't think there's a question that he's good enough. Healthy enough is a question, but if he checks out medically, there's no way Reid and Dorsey don't want Albert as their LT. It's all about the numbers matchin up after that |

You could have been a real pal and while you were at it have added the "in" to lookg and get rid of the "-" in offseason! LOL

| I hope albert stays and at LT. We have bigger needs to worry about and he is good enough at the position to fit the bill. |

Albert's main goal to be an LT is to get paid like an LT. This contract will set his family up hopefully for a good long time. He's going to get paid, and he doesn't want to shift positions prior to the contract being signed. I can't blame him in this situation one bit. Do your thing Branden. _________________
