Remember, this is Spielman we are talking about, a man who loves to trade on draft day. I think he's going to be aggressive if he likes someone like Woods. I could see him use the extra 4th to move up into the top third of the 2nd round.

Mel Kiper's latest mock, with a trade. BLEH!

According to a scouting guy that I follow he also has us taking Lavar Edwards - DE - LSU in the third.

BARF!

Just more proof that Mel Kiper really has no idea what he's doing. Tons of people could get paid to do what he does. It's just pure entertainment (what he does). Sure, he can break down prospects well, but how close has he ever been to being correct on one of his mocks? He's never done well. Sometimes when it's obvious who should go at the top of the draft, then yes, he's right, but for the most part, its a bunch of garbage to get us to read it and argue about.

The more I get into the draft the more I realize how bad the "experts" are.

I'm interested in seeing Mayock's mock. He only does one a year, and it's the night before the draft.

Can't decide what's worse about that situation, all three of our picks being relatively horrible, or the fact that the Packers get Hopkins.. :s

I would be down right pissed if this was our draft! What type of compensation did we get in the supposed trade?

"this is what I would do if I were the 32 teams"..eat me Kiper.

Patterson has loads of potential, i'll give you that. But is he even smart enough to find the field come game day?

Jenkins is ok, but where did we pick him? Very early RD2? Mid RD2? Who else was available?

Bostic is a decent run stuffer but is there anything else anyone knows this guy possesses? A reach in RD2 IMO. A 2-down mlb who cant cover worth a lick. I'll pass.

I'm guessing it's a 2nd and 4th for dropping down 10 picks.

a lot of it's intentional, it's cyber marketing.

readers are are more likely to comment on a bad draft than a good one. more comments and more views means more web activity, which they show to their advertisers.

@ESPNNFL is tweeting a draft that McShay and Kiper are doing.

So far:

Chiefs: Luke Joekel
Jags: Eric Fisher
Raiders: Ziggy Ansah
Eagles: Dee Milliner
Lions: Lane Johnson
Browns: Jon Cooper (I think)
Cardinals: Dion Jordan
Bills: Chance Warmack
Jets: Mingo
Titans: Shariff Floyd

I can't say I'd be pissed. I like Patterson. I don't care if he's dumb as a rock. If anyone is patient enough to get him up to speed, it's Frazier.

Jenkins would be solid, because he's a mack truck.

Bostic certainly would be a reach, since he's considered a 4th rounder at this point. But, I don't know a heck of a lot about him.

Lance Zierlein ‏@LanceZierlein 17m
Beginning to hear drums beating for Tennessee's Justin Hunter as the 1st WR off the board in the 2013 draft

Ryan Lownes ‏@ryanlownes 3m
If I had to guess who might be thinking Justin Hunter in the 1st Round, creating this recent buzz, maybe the #Vikings with two picks.

For those of you Hunter fans. I wouldn't surprise me. Ex: Stephen Hill

I'm still iffy on Hunter, but as I've said before he would be in a good position here. With all the weapons available, he will see a lot of single coverage which ideally helps him adjust to the NFL game quicker.

Hunter is an odd prospect to evaluate. His 2011 tape is great, a surefire first rounder. This year he regressed and not just the ways you'd think coming of an ACL injury. In 2011, Hunter displayed great hands and didn't let nearly as much into his body as he did this year. He was also more aggressive in attacking the ball in the air. This year he played a little timid in comparison to 2011. Similar to Greg Childs last year, hard to tell which Hunter you will get.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 3m
From Total Access: Hear #VIkings want to move up in draft from 23 or 25. Want CB & WR. Moving up would likely mean WR: Austin or Patterson?

I think slightly differently. I think we'll stay at 23/25 (or possible trade down), and trade up from 52 to get the WR we want.

Of course.. the #Vikings also are a possibility for Manti Te'o. So doubtful they'd lose both firsts. Bet 25 stays, but we'll see.
