| Quote: | | It was interesting to hear Jerry Jones talk about who might play defensive tackle for the Cowboys beside Jay Ratliff. Jones said the franchise thought when it drafted Tyrone Crawford in the third round that he could play defensive end in a 3-4 or defensive tackle in the 4-3. If the Cowboys don't sign Anthony Spencer in the offseason, a possible front four could consist of ends DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher and defensive tackles Ratliff and Crawford. |
Interesting comment here from Jerry considering most of us were looking at Crawford as a DE. _________________

Depends how much he bulked up. He was 280-285ish last I remember but could be 295-300 now.
Also, in the 4-3 under, left end is basically a 3-4 end- think Red Bryant. Maybe you don't need someone that weighs 330, but you want someone closer to Crawford's size and build rather than, say, Anthony Spencer's.
Also, "or" could here mean "both" instead of "one or the other." I could see Crawford as a guy that would kick inside on passing downs in favor of an edge rusher. _________________

The real problem is the cowboys need Ratliff , they don't have two DTs to drop in his place on 4-3. So I assume Ratliff will be back and everything swept under rug.
As much as I hate Jay Ratliff for being so stupid to get a dwi after his friend and team mate brown and brent went through that preventable tradgedy. |

Until last year, he either played hurt, or was healthy. Hope last year was just a fluke, if we decide to keep him. |

I just don't see why we would keep him. He is often injured or not the same player he was a while back. Need some young blood to take his place. If were suppose to buy into Garrett's idea of the players he wants on this team then we have to cut him. _________________

Two defensive coaching candidates the Saints will consider adding to staff include Eric Mangini and Romeo Crennel, per… http://say.ly/sKG52jD |
Not surprised to see Mangini's name pop up. Didn't think it would be long before he was back in the league. _________________

For what? Wearing his pants low or not managing his money? | yea I have to agree with pride on this one. I mean really? DWI for Ratliff compared to dez's issues still don't add up... Stretching it just a tad on this one _________________

I think I am one of the few people who does not want Melton...
...and it's not even for a good reason. I just love so much of the DT talent in this draft that I would like someone home grown. _________________

But...he is home grown. From Texas, went to Texas, wants to be a Cowboy, excels in Monte and Marinelli's scheme... _________________
