Per Wikipedia:
"In sports, a "choke" is the failure of an athlete or an athletic team to win a game or tournament when the player or team had been strongly favored to win or had squandered a large lead in the late stages of the event." |
Well neither of those are true in this case. We were 4 point underdogs at home. That's huge. And we lost a big lead not too far into the 2nd quarter, hardly the "late stages f the event" |

Did we choke away the game? Yes. The season? No way. This was one of the better seasons in franchise history. This won't be our last chance. We're not going to win the Super Bowl every year so there's no point in crying about it every time our season ends.

Gilmer you should give credit for the 49ers and not place blame on our team. It wasnt our best game but we played our butts offand so did the 49ers. Yeah we should have won but hats off to SF for coming back on the road. We didnt choke. They just took it. We didnt give it.

49ers barely escaped and their defense didn't show up.. so yes it is our defense that choked and cost us that game. |

No way in hell the Niners beat us. We gave them that game. 0 points in second half, couldn't keep their offense off the field, and Roddy falls down leads to int and Ryan misplays snap for another turnover. If we got beat 28-7 than yes I will give them credit. Also, when did we get complacent with losing? The point is we shouldn't be having this conversation because we should be headed to New Orleans. |
