Here is the offical site of the Senior Bowl: http://www.seniorbowl.com/
Well it's that time of year again! The weigh ins are this morning and the first practice starts at 1:30 (South) with the second starting at 2:30 (North). Most of us I am sure have the record buttons set alreay.
This year the rosters seem to be stacked. A few guys I will be keeping a close eye on are Philip Thomas, Jordan Poyer, Khaseem Greene, Kawann Short, Markus Wheaton, Denard Robinson, Leon McFadden, and Ansah Ezekial _________________

I hope Denard Robinson takes most of his snaps as a running back. _________________

Weigh in results are coming in now for the South squad. DJ Fluker and Mallicah Goodman immediately stick out. Fluker is built like a tank and Goodman has freakishly long arms and bananas for fingers.

Cliff-notes version:
Datone Jones and Mark Dominik had a staring contest
Margus Hunt is a physical marvel
Robbie Rouse is an Oompa Loompa
Forum favorites Johnthan Banks, Dion Jordan, Tavon Austin and DJ Swearinger will not be in attendance this week
Manti Te'o is vacationing with his imaginary girlfriend and will also not be attending

Fluker with almost 36 1/2 in arm length is really a luxury for a tackle. In addition, playing in Bama's pro style offense will give plenty of scouts to evalutate him. I know Dom doesn't like choosing linemen in the draft, but Bama o-linemen I think he may make an exception. |

Sorry but I'm not taking a Right Tackle in the first round. _________________

Why not? One of Freeman's several excuses is his line isn't very good. ? |

He's borderline first rounder. The offensive line was not that great to end due to the fact we had injuries, but healthy it is solid with RT being the only question. But a RT is not worth a first rounder, especially where we are picking. Fluker might even have to kick inside. |

San fransisco took Anthony Davis top 20 to play RT. they're doing well.
Stukes when asked about this draft talked and raved about DL and OL. Just saying. |

In general, I just think Alabama o-line are a lot easier to evaluate with the scheme they are running. As of right now, I think our RT is very much in question. Dotson was okay, he has room to improve, but will he? Meredith did a great job in Joseph's absence, but I find it interesting they went to Dotson over Meredith to replace Trueblood.
I believe there is room for improvement along both lines this offseason. |
