I hope we give him all of that $200k bonus. We need to do everything we can to keep him content on staying here come contract time. The contract is obviously non-negotiable right now but I would find a way to gift him a brand new Aston Martin.

Sounds like a writer just trying to get a story, both Russell and his agent know he can't get a new contract for a few years.

Do you guys think that whoever wrote that article just threw it up there to get views? Wilson and his agent would have to know that he can't get payed for 3 seasons its not like Cook is some new comer agent either he is experienced.

The source is ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who has a reputation to keep. These things aren't reported unless something actually happened. I believe it. The question is who exactly contacted the Seahawks, and what was their relation to RW? I'm leaning towards a family member that believed they were looking out for the best interests of RW without knowing the first thing about business.

Im not saying he will want to leave. Just that we should do everything we can to keep him content with the organization. We all know that he is worth more than we are paying him.

Think about it as if you were him. You want to stay here, you like the organization, you are being under paid but the contract states that you can't change it, but you still get a nice new car. That would tell me that everyone knows the situation and when the time comes they will rectify it.
