| I've seen speculation that he's a guy the Browns might target. What do you think it would take to get him..and is he worth it? |

Too many QBs coming out & missing our 2nd plus the fact we already have a big arm statue.
Mallet in that system for 2 seasons. He put up sick numbers in preseason his rookie year.
He is almost a Weeden clone don't you think? |

I like Mallet, but the Browns dont have much to trade as far as picks...
I would be fine with a late round pick, but not much more
--- maybe give them Rucker since I dont think he stays in a 3-4. _________________

With Mallet, he still has age on his size. He has more room to grow unlike Weeden. I rather stick with Weeden tho _________________

I would like to add him, but my inkling is that it would cost a little too much. He has a cannon for an arm, and would work perfect in a play action down field passing game. Maybe we could give NE Brandon Weeden and next years 2nd, but I doubt that would get it done. _________________

Mallet was a 3rd round draft pick that has done little to increase his value over the last two years.... he has some okay numbers in preseason, but in real games he is 1-4 for 17 yards and an INT... and -9 yrds rushing... (sacks)
Browns could bring him in as a backup hoping he has learned something at NE and let him compete, but thats about it. _________________

If we trade #6 for Mallet we better be getting NE's first rounder back with it. _________________

Not sure if serious. That's a photoshop haha.
That said, Mallett was an absolute moron in college. The only way I'd trade for him is if being in NE's system with Brady and BB for 2 years helped him to mature. If he's the same guy he was coming out, forget it though... |
