In his defense, i don't think he was trying to do that. It's reported that he checked the wrong bag.
Doesn't make him not dumb. Just dumb for a different reason. _________________

Passengers not associated with the NFL do this in large numbers on a daily basis.
There are literally 100's of potential security breaches every day. _________________

The no fly list only applies to commercial flights. NFL teams take charter flights. |
Not correct. The no fly list applies to American domestic and delegated airspace. If an aircraft has a passenger on the no fly list it can't operate in U.S. airspace, period.
That includes overflights, private aircraft, charters.
If an air carrier is flying from Paris to Mexico City and has a passenger on the no fly list they have to remain clear of the U.S. territorial airspace. So they have to fly around the U.S. _________________

Hmm, I guess my source was incorrect.
In any case, I don't think that accidentally leaving a gun in a checked bag will get someone put on the no fly list. |

It won't get him on a no fly list.
It may get him a guest appearance on the new show, " so you think you're smarter than a 1st grader," _________________

Why does it seem like the Bengals only make the news when a player is arrested. 3 pages without a commitment to wearing stripes joke.
At least he didn't pull a Plax. _________________

It's dumb they arrest you. Just take the gun and have him pick it up upon return.
Most of the time these are accidents. _________________

I understand your sentiment but you have to look at this from a security perspective.
How does a TSA official determine it was an accident?
Is it an accident because he said it was and he's a high profile individual?
We read about people with mental health issues all the time and everyone is surprised by the result.
The law is clear. It's well advertised as you stand in a security line and he is a frequent flier so ignorance of the law can't be used as an excuse.
No one can accurately determine the intent of someone attempting to board an aircraft in possession of a gun and frankly if someone is that careless with a sidearm that they didnt know it was in the bag shouldn't have a gun anyway. _________________

Looks like he got bored quickly after his team was eliminated. You gotta keep children like this occupied and parent chaperoned.
I am convinced we will never go 100 days without an arrest of these thugs. All of these guys are idiots. These children should get suspended and lose pay checks. If they are selfish enough that the safety of other people dosen't matter to them, then maybe once they start losing serious money they will listen.
