|
|
|
Several teams enter the 2013 off season with horrible cap figures which should lead to an active head rolling chop block.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1482116-calculating-2013-cap-space-for-every-nfl-team/page/1
I took the names that stood out from this article.
Saints
Will Smith
Roman Harper
John Vilma
Cowboys
Doug Free
Miles Austin
Jay Ratliff
NY Jets
Calvin Pace
Jason Smith
Bart Scott
Eric Smith
Raiders
Shane Lechler
Eagles
Mike Vick
Scrabble
Steelers
James Harrison
Buccaneers
Eric Wright
Redskins
DeAngelo Hall
Fletcher
Santana Moss
Out of this list I would have to say several names would deserve a serious consideration.
#1 QB Mike Vick
He would have a much cleaner pocket in C-town. Could have a career year with the type of talent we have.
#2 Scrabble
Would Joe be the #2 if we signed him?
#3 Harrison
3/4 4/3 if he has it in the tan we could get a quality PB level player for 1-2 seasons.
#4 Harper
He is 30 & had one of his best seasons in 2012. Would certainly be a upgrade over Usama.
#5 Miles Austin
Big bodied WR still in his prime.
#6 Shane Lechler
He has been one of the best for several years now.
There will be many more I am sure & some that will surprise some people. |

I'd be all over Austin and Lechler.
If we go to a 3-4 and he's cheap, I would even MAYBEEEEEE consider bringing that piece of [inappropriate/removed] Harrison to Cle.

If I had to pick, if we stayed in the 4/3, I would love to bring in Will Smith and Calvin Pace. They could possible be good DEs opposite Sheard. Shane Lechler because he is a damn good punter. I would love to bring back Eric Wright or bring in Hall because they could be good playing acorss from Joe Haden

That basically turns Schwartz into our most vital pass blocker since he would need to block Vicks blindside. I like Schwartz but I dont like him enough to block our QB blindside. I dont like it

If the steelers are letting him go to me that screams damaged goods

I still dont see them moving Austin to begin with _________________

Lechler I'd definitely sign.
Scrabble or Hall I'd probably sign.
Not too interested in anyone else. _________________

DeAngeo Hall is a washed up never-was. I agree with everything else.
Lechler and Asomugha would be great signings. |

ooooooooo
2 Names I want everyone to think about...
Reggie Bush
DeAngelo Williams
Trent is such a violent runner. He is going to have such a hard time staying healthy. He is too strong almost for his own running style.
Having 2 #1 backs splitting the carries.... |

I see a list of old men that won't do anything to help the team. If Lombardi picks one post to look at from this forum I hope this is not that post.
That is all
