I expected them to go with Ray Horton. _________________

This may literally be the dumbest coaching hire in the past decade.
We just fired Ken Whisenhunt, so why hire Bruce Arians a guy who is a Ken Clone except older, less experience and in the process annoy Ray Horton to the point where he does not want to be in AZ anymore.
Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb dumb.
Seriously. Worst. Hire. Ever. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Already is. Arians does not want him on staff either. Someone is going to get a great coach. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Probably my least favourite hc hire this offseason (if the report is true).
I like Bevell, Roman, and even Horton more. |

Why would someone not want him on their staff? _________________

Yeah, this one is going to backfire on the Cards sooner rather than later. Good job wasting away the rest of Larry Fitz's prime Zona' ownership. Really.
So, where does Horton go and how much is this going to bite the Cards in the butt, exactly? _________________

Ask Bruce Arians.
I am at a loss. This is just plain dumb. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

This at first surprised me, but the more I think about all of the offensive coordinators they interviewed or showed interest in as head coaching candidates, the more I started to get the impression that Ray Horton lost alot of momentum if he ever truly had any in the organization. I am really shocked that Horton was completely passed over this offseason for head coaching jobs. _________________

The only upside to this I can think of is that Arizona gets the #1 overall pick in 2014 draft. Teddy comes out. We grab him and at least we have a QB.
Other than that, nothing.
As I have said elsewhere, we just hired and older, less experienced Ken Whisenhunt and lost Ray Horton in the process.
Chip Kelly will be on the phone to Ray soon and I would not doubt that Ray will turn that Eagles D into a great one. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Horton turned a bunch of no name guys and late round picks into a top 5 defense.
Not a smart decision at all. I feel bad for you Cards fans. _________________

It is hilarious that there are actually articles out there saying "how does Arians differ from Whisenhunt"
And the explanation is that he uses a different verbiage and has more screens thrown in.
Essentially the same playbook that went out the door with Whis is coming back in with Arians, but the players will have to relearn a whole heap of terminology. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Ray Horton with Scrabble and that Eagles D-line to play with? He'd have a field day.
I give Arians as a one and done type of guy, a sacrificial lamb to slaughter to suck for this year then get Teddy. And pray the next guy is better.
Hope I'm wrong. The Cards deserve to be good consistently for a few years after god knows how many years of terrible. _________________
