I agree. I understand it's only been a day but he seems a little cocky. Which I honestly don't mind but he shouldn't be acting like he's done this before and it's a piece of cake. |

I too will remain a Cards fan, but this probably the most bitter pill for me to swallow since the Cards arrived in AZ. Just too much desperation in the hire and regardless of the abilities of Bowles, Ray Horton was not only admired by the defense they trusted every decision he made. Now doubt has entered the equation, just a normal human response.
I certainly hope I'm wrong, but I do not see an 8-8 season for as long as he's here.

Not sure what that has to do with anything, unless you think being an aging vet who hardly plays makes him incapable of judging a man's character/work ethic.

Motivation is about Man Management. Not every player is going to react in the same way to the same speech. You need to know which ones need the words of encouragement and the little pick me up and you need to know which ones need the tough love.
There is no one size fits all mold here.
