I need some support ... data diggin'

As you may have noticed I'm getting into my pre-season mood. Digging data, doing cap simulations and all that stuff.

A project I wanted to get into for quite a while is setting up a database that on the one hand helps to keep track with the real world but on the other allows to run simulations. Roster size, cap limits, impact of roster moves and all the like. Updated continuously, so you always have a sound real world basis to do simulations (a noble term for mock drafts ) from.

However, to do it properly and the way I like it is extremely time consuming. Just putting in the data to make it neat and shiny is quite a lot of work.

Thus I'd like to ask for your support to provide me the data in an appropriate form so I can focus on programming the database itself.

All you'll need is your own copy of MS Access, some time, some patience, and some well coordinated fingers to hit the keyboard. If you know a thing or two about MS Access let me know, if not ... well, I'll tell you what to do.

Those who help will be the first to get access to the product - which I anticipate to be public domain once I'm satisfied with its performance.

So - who's willing tosign up on that endeavour??

Oh, lest I forget: I anticipate this thing to last well into the 2014 pre-season. That's why I ask for patience.

I think spotrac.com updated some of the contracts between the time I started pulling the contract numbers and now. I remember Anthony Toribio was noted as a RFA for example. Patrick DiMarco was another player I remember being listed as an RFA in 2013. Here are the players I missed or were not signed when I started :
