Great hire! Always liked Rod. He will do wonders for the line! _________________

Looking forward to seeing what Marinelli can do with the young DL - Lissimore, Crawford, Hatcher. I would imagine that DL is still a priority this off-season. _________________

I am holding off until I see the report on a site or twitter but it would be a great hire. _________________

Love this hire. Haven't liked up an addition to the coaching staff this much since... um... Rob Ryan.
Trying to withhold optimism, but how could a positional coach hire possibly go wrong? Should be a great addition. _________________

I really like this hire. Do you guys think they brought him in to be the eventual successor to Kiffin? I mean the guy is 72. I think he comes in and implements his system, kind of oversees everything and then hands the reins over to Rod in a couple years. _________________

I could see that, but I could also see Jerome Henderson getting a shot once Kiffin retires. He has made quite an impression thus far from what I read. _________________

You mean Tony Dungy? Funny thing is we could get Tony's '99 defensive coaching staff together.
DC: Monte Kiffin
DL: Rod Marrinelli
LB: Lovie Smith
DB: Herman Edwards _________________

And Gruden seems content to stay with his media gig.
Honestly, I think surrounding Garrett with a veteran coaching staff is going to be a great thing. _________________

The rift between Garrett and Jones is all media. They pray on the John Garrett stuff, but in my opinion Jerry is in the right, and Jason is doing what all brothers should do. Its Garrett's fault for even having a member of his family on staff. _________________

| Don't mean to get uber greedy here. I know Lovie doesn't want to be a coordinator in 2013, but do you think he would come on as a consultant? Basically help with the draft, game planning, etc. |

No because unless he gets an HC gig, he's gettin paid to sit on his butt for a year.
If you ask me the stage is set for Lovie next year if Jason fails. _________________

I hope so. It's so frustrating watching this team year after year be so undisciplined. |
