Damn I wanted him for Eagles
Surprised they didn't hire from within. _________________

In a way, it was a hire from within given that Quinn was the D-Line coach for the Seahawks in 2010.
The big thing that probably won him the job was that he had two years of DC experience at Florida. Although given that the hire was made so quickly, Pete probably made his mind up before today. _________________

The new HC (forget his name) is a defensive guru and both he and Quinn turned the Gators D from crap to Top-5 in CFB.
The big blow to losing Bradley is his leadership qualities. Dan Quinn is a better fit for the scheme in Seattle, given his past experiences with Pete Carroll's defense. Other than that, Bradley is very replaceable. _________________

Good hire, I thought Norton would get it. Even Chris Richard who has been great with our DB's he's pretty young though.. _________________ I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous. |

Quinn did a great job with the Gators. He didn't have complete control over the defense because HC Will Muschamp is a defensive guru in his own right. Quinn oversaw one of the best defenses in college football and is known for putting a strong emphasis on technique. As a Gator fan I wish him all the best. |

He was an excellent defensive line coach, help Big Red really excel at DE, Mebane as well... If anything I doubt there will be any drop off. _________________ I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous. |

Good to hear. The Seahawks defense as a whole really needs to work on technique. _________________

This could not have went any better. We get rid of Gus Bradley and reacquire the guy that did magic when he was with us. In hindsight, this was pretty much an inevitable move as Quinn wanted to go to the college ranks to get playcalling experience prior to being an NFL DC.
I expect our defense to be even better next season without Bradley holding us back. _________________
