While I understand that sentiment, the Vikings' organization has the ultimate call, which is why the Packers' uniform didn't change at all under Nike.
But, personally, I don't think any new uniform they can come up with could be worse than the one they've worn for the last 4-5 years.

I love how they personally replied and even said that they noticed the reception from the fans. I have a thread a couple pages back on this and I don't think one person preferred the new jersey to old. I think one maybe liked the new jerseys. |

Typically when teams get new uniforms/logos, a lot of people complain and say they look stupid and different from the original. Its a given. Every single change recently (Seahawks/Dolphins/Jaguars) have gotten a poor review by the mass of people.
I for one, expect that trend to continue. I guess people just don't like change?
But this is a good move for Minnesota. I think we're just trying to move forward, and when the new stadium is complete, we'll be a team that really has a "new" look to it, and hopefully a strong vibe comes from that, from players and the fans.

Although if anyone could actually come up with said monstrosity, it would be Nike.

Well said. It literally can't get any worse than the current unis. I puked a little in my mouth when they were unveiled. I'm sure these will be at least moderately better.
Then again, I wouldn't mind a bit of radical change. Most people would balk, but I wouldn't mind seeing silver accents replace the white in some way. Heck, a silver helmet with a purple/yellow embellished horn might look pretty sweet. But it'd probably be too far a departure from the basics. Maybe as an alternate.
I just really want to see an emphasis on toughness and a using of the sometimes arctic Minnesota temperatures to influence the design of both this uniform and the new stadium in some way. Enough with the finesse looks, we're supposed to be Vikings. I think silver accents would really contribute nicely to that.
I really like the helmet design these guys came up with, if they could get some more purple accents into it and contrast it with a solid dark purple jersey:

Of course, it's a radical pipe dream that'll never happen.

I'd like to see a little darker hue of purple as well. Especially in relation to whatever the hell the color purple they were wearing.

Yes, back to actual purple and not blue would be nice.

Our current uniforms would be decent if they removed that God-awful gold polo collar thing on our home jersey. It's freaking hideous.
