The church of Rambo in the secondary. This is the definitive mock offseason. No sense in anyone else trying. _________________

I will say, I think Orie Lemon has more of a future with this team than McSurdy, but seeing as he was hurt most of camp, I can see where you might think he would show more with a full season of learning. _________________

We can't really discuss the legality of it...but, I think there's a big difference between Rambo's "drug issues" and Mathieu's.
One was apparently a one-time thing, the other is a repeat offender. _________________

I thought Rambo failed 2 tests - maybe I don't recall correctly _________________

You're right, he did. He was pulled over on a traffic stop with a "joint", and then last season came the "brownie".
He very well may not be on our board with those offenses, but I hope not. The puns we could come up with are just too tempting to pass on. _________________

I actually hope we don't take Rambo. I would very much prefer Swearinger at FS. I only put Rambo because he was more highly rated. _________________

Swearinger spent this year almost strictly as the in-the-box safety with his only deep cover game being Vandy. He has some M2M coverage experience and deep cover experience but seems much more comfortable in the box near the LOS and working off blocks and going sideline to sideline. He has FS potential for sure, but it'd take some time IMO. _________________

He also played some CB this past season. While he was far from perfect, he was decent, especially during the Arkansas game. He has the tackling ability of an in-the-box safety and the coverage ability of a FS. I want him in Dallas. _________________

Swearinger was fantastic vs Clemson. We don't need Ronnie Lott we just need an upgrade and he would definitely do that for Dallas. _________________ A circle. The direction the Cowboys continue to travel. |
