Decent pick though I like Hunter more.

Good pick.

1. Vikings won't be drafting a QB this early and
2. Dysert isn't worth a 3rd round selection. |
Vikings should maybe draft a QB earlier than THIS. Did you see Webb in the playoffs?!? Also, Dysert is, indeed, worth a 3rd-rounder in THIS draft class. No question. _________________ Why have a signature? I don't need to be famous................................................. |

Webb isn't the Vikings' regular starter, so how he played in the playoffs is irrelevant. |

FIRST ROUND:
#32. SAN FRANCISCO: Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas.
SECOND ROUND:
#62. SAN FRANCISCO: Margus Hunt, DE, S.M.U.
THIRD ROUND:
#74. SAN FRANCISCO: Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut.
#94. SAN FRANCISCO: Brandon Williams, DT, Missouri Southern State. |
I love the first two picks. If Vaccaro falls to us, i'd be ecstatic (don't think it'll happen though). I like Hunt, and I like williams in the bottom of the third. addressing some good needs there. I don't hate Wilson as a prospect, and a lot of people have us taking cb around this area, but i just feel that wr is a much bigger need going into next season (moss, ginn are both free agents, manningham is a cut possibility and not guaranteed to be ready for the season anyway, kyle williams may not be ready for the season, and even if he is, is coming off an injury as well...jenkins is a total bust). I'd prefer to have Bailey with that pick. _________________

It wasn't irrelevant for that GAME, now was it? Plus, it's NOT like Ponder is anything like an elite-level QB. At the very LEAST, a viable backup is needed. _________________ Why have a signature? I don't need to be famous................................................. |

Millner is ok.
Nassib is horrible. the guy sucks not worth a top 40 pick.
Aboushi is ok. _________________

And drafting a QB helps us in that game how excactly?

No, but he's young and has established himself as the starter.

I agree, and the Vikings will get a veteran one in free agency.
Ponder is young and developing. We don't need another young, developmental guy as his backup, especially one from a terrible QB draft like this.
At most any QB drafted would be the 3rd string guy, replacing our current developmental QB, McLeod Bethel-Thompson, and the Vikings have way too many other big needs to be wasting a 3rd round pick on a 3rd string guy. |

I agree not a fan of this mock much at all. I dont like Glennon at all and will stand by that he is wildly inconsistent. Not adding anything to the defense isnt good either who is going to play LB for the Bills. |
Couple things to point out, fellow fan of the Bills:
#1. Firstly, we ARE drafting a QB early... probably QUITE early. It's already been stated as such by Nix. Glennon has his flaws, like EVERY other QB in this class, but he probably has the best arm of the bunch, and we need a signal-caller that can lengthen the field. Tired of bounce-passes from Fitz.
#2. We ABSOLUTELY need a quality #2 wide receiver, and Woods, T. Williams, or Hopkins in the 2nd round would be a nice blend of need and value at that point. Nelson was slow to begin with, and is now coming back from an ACL, Donald Jones just sucks, and T.J. Graham has shaky hands.
#3. Scott Chandler, like Nelson, will now also be coming back from a serious knee injury, and the only other true TE on the roster is Lee Smith, who is nothing more than a basic blocking-type TE. A true pass-catching threat at the position is something that would benefit our offense TONS.
Oh, and we can draft defense the rest of the way, plus there's free-agency. |
You have to question how much say Buddy will actually have in this draft I feel like they are trying to break away from him some. Just because he said this three months ago doesnt mean we will over reach for a Crappy QB who yes has a strong arm, but just because you have a cannon does not mean you will be successful. He has been wildly inconsistent in the awful ACC the past two season. I want nothing to do with this guy and I feel like he is being over hyped for no reason. In my opinion Buddy will draft BPA in rd 1 and there is no QB worth taking in the top 15-20 picks in rd 1
I have no problem with drafting a WR and TE but I just feel like CB and LB are much bigger needs and yes Free Agency is an option but TE for sure is better suited going the free agency way. _________________

Big, fast, smaller-school CB. Looks to be the physical type to cover the big WR's of today. _________________ Why have a signature? I don't need to be famous................................................. |

Man, I know the Rams offensive line is bad but I think three with our first three picks is overkill. Two, I don't really have a problem with, and I think that is even unlikely. We definitely have other positions to fill. _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

MIN:
#23 -- Keenan Allen, WR, California -- Fair Pick
#52 -- Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State -- BPA and will start as outside CB (opposite Chris Cook)
#83 -- Baccari Rambo, S, Georgia -- Would be a starter Day 1 (beside Harrison Smith) _________________

| Not very good for the Browns. Jones will likely fall at least to the end of the 1st rd. His medical condition is pretty much unpredictable and could end his career at anytime. With the Browns having a many holes as they do, and not having a 2nd rd. pick, and switching defensive schemes and not having the personnel right now they simply can't afford to take a project QB with a high 3rd pick. Their 1st and 3rd picks should be spent on a DE/OLB hybrid and a DB. |
