Well here's to a short memory and on to game 5.
It's going to sound crazy, but I'm not sure who I want to start in between the pipes. Dubnyk has been anything but impressive, the shutout was weak. He has given up a fair amount of soft goals. I know Kuemper was straight trash for a little while there, but it's not like the team defense was up to snuff either. I know we will ride Dubnyk, but I'm not 100% sure that is the right call. We all know Kuemper can be brilliant, I'm sure he won't get the nod, but I'd give Dubnyk a very, very short leash.

Yeah I get that point of view. Yeo probably said forget about game 4 and let's focus on game 5. I think Dubnyk has that same mentality, however I'm interested to see how he responds in game 5. Another sub-par performance might direct more attention to Kuemper starting in game 6.

We've ridden Dubs this far, I think we advance or go home with him between the pipes.

I get that. Do what got you here. If Dubnyk keeps playing like this, what do you do about a contract? I don't want to make this sound like I am only blaming Dubnyk, it was an atrocious effort by the entire time. I just haven't been super impressed by Dubnyk in the playoffs thus far.

I still think we should resign him. Him and Kuemper going forward would be solid. Bring us back to the Fernandez/Roloson days.

Stupid question guys, but I was wondering. Overall what do you guys think of Spurgeon? He's impressed me in the playoffs, and I don't catch many Wild games to watch him.

He seemed to be matched up against tough opposition. Is it always the case?

He looked good. Especially for 5'9

Spurgeon is probably the closest thing we have to an offensive defenseman, has a great shot on the powerplay but is also willing to throw all 5'9 into a hit. I'm not sure what the advanced stats say, but he is a top 4 dman in my book.

He's a good player. Some nice offensive skill. Him and Dumba are similar, I just think Dumba will be a fair amount better. I like Spurgeon, but I'd move him for the right piece.

That was such a fun game to watch. Watched it outdoors while smoking some pork butt, that was just a good way to watch the game. Drinking beer, baking in the sun, and now am so tired today, being outdoors kind of zaps some energy, in the best way possible.

Thanks, I know people are painting this as the Blues choking again, but it's not like the Wild are an easy out. I think we all have our eyes on the Cup. We were happy to get in 2 years ago, were happy to win a series last year, and have our eyes on the prize this year.
