I want us to deal our 2nd and Newhouse to KC for Brandon Albert. They would get rid of that problem, get a RT, and get a pick.

i would only be up for something like that if we were positive that sherrod won't be able to come back. if he's going to come back fully recovered that would just be a waste of a draft pick.

In the same roster page update where Means was added, Zombo has dropped off.

That's not official, but I can't recall a case in the last couple years of pulling roster updates where it didn't become official.

Zombo is a free agent.

Yep, he certainly is and typically FAs will stay on the roster until the team is done with them. Don't expect even a minimum salary offer at this point.

Zombo signs with KC.

I... I don't know why, but I'm really interested in Brandon Banks.

I think he could do really well returning kicks/5th WR here.

With that attitude? No thanks. Reggie's getting that one right.

Ew. He would be the 4th ILB at best on our roster. I think Francois might even beat him out.

Here's a question for you guys. If no one wants Woodson, do you think he'd come back at the vet min (this assumes both we'd want him back at the vet min, and he would accept the vet min) or just retire?

I brought this up a couple pages ago as well. I wouldn't mind him coming back on a cheap one year deal, he'd be a clear upgrade over what we have at safety, and I don't love any of these safety prospects in the draft.

The fact that TT cut him without the offer of a pay cut makes me think it wouldn't happen. However, it could be because they didn't want to insult him with such a large paycut, so who knows.

I wouldn't hate it, I think he was one of our better tacklers around the line of scrimmage. And a great leader on that D for sure. The difference in willingness to tackle between week 17 and WC weekend was night and day as I recall.

I believe the bolded part weighed in largely in the decision but I'm not so certain that TT hasn't already moved on because of it.

Don't see anyway floating that kind of paycut would of been taken any way but poorly by Woodson's people.

I'd like Woodson as the 3rd safety this year above anyone except Burnett and McMillian barring any other acquisitions but I'd wait until after the draft before even discussing it.
