No surprise here but Brad Briggs is reporting that Dave Toub is leaving the Bears and expected to join Andy Reid in KC.

Biggs went in depth about why he believes Bears let Toub walk even though he was under contract here:

He essentially says that by allowing Toub a chance to interview for the HC job Toub would be placed in a difficult position to come back and work for someone that he was beaten out by.
Obviously nobody would want Toub to leave since he is one of the best in the business, but I think Emery did the right thing all around, letting him interview (he deserved it) and then letting him go.

2 years ago we still had Chris Tabor. I understand what you are saying but its still losing a guy who's the best at what he does in all the NFL.

I've heard that DeCamillis is great at what he does as well, but promoting O'Dea would be the best way to keep consistency within an already terrific unit.

You can tell just how good he is by reading the responses of all the Chiefs and other teams' fans in the NFL News thread about this. He's certainly got a reputation.
