Apparently the Broncos want to restructure Dumervil's contract. They want him back, but not at what he costs.
Can't say I blame him. _________________

Jason LaCanfora says situation could lead to his release... Guy also jumps to worst case faster than any reporter I know, but I could see it that way if Doom's heads up his butt. _________________

This had to happen. Try to keep him, but only at the right price. He is valuable, yet more in a situational role. Ayers on first and second down, Elvis during clear passing situations would be the ideal way of doing things under the current circumstances. _________________

Rather have the potential disruption of Doom in than Ayers. Even with his deficiencies in the run game. _________________

I have a feeling we see Doom get cut. Just a though.
If that happens, pencil us in for DE. _________________

He also said Champ Bailey was a candidate to be cut. LaCanfora has less credibility than Chris Mortensen.

Yeah. And I have a feeling we see the Packers trade Aaron Rodgers to the Vikings for a 7th round pick. _________________ big_palooka:

It's more than LaCanfora reporting FWIW, it's also Albert Breer, Vic Lombardi, Ian Rapaport et al...
I really don't think it's that absurd. In what way is Doom worth $13m in cap hit and salary? He isn't in any way whatsoever. _________________

Doom would be smart to restructure. _________________

I am just wondering why we have waited so relatively long for his move? The sooner we had gotten this situation cleared out, the better it would have been for the FO. This way... what if Doom has not agreed to the restructuring of his contract a few days into FA and a few of the potential DE additions on the market already have been signed by other teams. _________________

This has to be done by March 17. I guarantee this will be figured out before then so they can figure something out in FA.
It's also possible the restructuring for Doom will allow us to quickly sign our own FAs, or someone like Revis, etc.. _________________

More contract than anything. I'm pretty sure that up until this year his contract was %100 guaranteed. |

I think the thoughts about Doom being cut are anticipation of him being a clown about money, and refusing to re-negotiate. To which I can see him being cut.
And yea LaCanfora since moving to CBS has become a frickin joke. He just throws out worst case scenarios now lol. _________________

Good point - and more comfort coming in the way of Williams being cut, and Doom restructuring. _________________

Definitely feels like we're gearing up for something...
The free agent cornerback class is good. There's also Revis. I think if we look for a corner in free agency/Revis, definitely not at 28. _________________
