What will the team do about its free agents?
Offense
LT Ryan Clady – definitely keep with career contract
FB Chris Gronkowski – not used much, let go?
WR Matt Willis – let go??
WR Brandon Stokley – retire?
RB Lance Ball – keep as 3rd back
Defense
LDT Kevin Vickerson – re-sign
NT Justin Bannan – retire?
MLB Keith Brooking – retire
LDT Ty Warren – drop
RDE Jason Hunter – re-sign
LCB Tracy Porter – drop
SS David Bruton – keep
Jim Leonhard – keep? |

Here's how I see our FA:
Clady -Re-signed/franchised.
Gronkowski - Not re-signed
Willis -Not re-signed
Stokley -Has said he wants to play another year. Re-signed one year deal.
Ball -Depends on FA/Draft. If we add another RB like I think we will then I see Ball leaving. As of now, not re-signed.
Vickerson -Re-signed
Bannan -I don't see the Broncos bringing him back.
Brooking -Retired
Warren -Released
Hunter -Re-signed. I think he could be a good role player for us.
Porter -I would love to re-sign him. I think it all depends on how much money he wants. I'll say re-signed for now.
Bruton -Re-signed. Good ST player.
Leonhard -Retired _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

Where did you guys hear this? I'm not saying you're wrong just wondering where you heard it. Please provide a link if you have one.
As far as our free agents, here are my guesses.
OT Ryan Clady - likely resigned long-term, franchised only as a last resort.
CB Tracy Porter - gone
RB Lance Ball - gone
DT Justin Bannan - I think we try to get younger on the DL, so gone
LB Keith Brooking - retires
S David Bruton - not sure, might be kept for ST but wouldn't shock me to see him sent packing
CB Tony Carter - resigned
OT Chris Clark - resigned
P Britton Colquitt - resigned
FB Chris Gronkowski - gone
DE Jason Hunter - resigned but for cheap due to the injury
C Dan Koppen - should be resigned but it depends what they think of Walton
S Jim Leonard - gone
WR Brandon Stokley - either retires or is resigned
DT Mitch Unrein - resigned
DT Kevin Vickerson - resigned
DT Ty Warren - gone, and 2 years too late
WR Matt Willis - gone _________________ big_palooka:

Well that's definitely good news about Stokley! Him retiring would have left a huge hole in our offense that a rookie would not be able to replace. _________________ big_palooka:

The wildcard here that will be overlooked is Chris Clark. He has been great for us as our 6th lineman, playing often (for a backup). And he is a good insurance option (better than nothing) should Clady or Franklin go down. Yet he may want to try and sign with a team that will use him as a starter. Even half-decent OTs are hard to find in this league, and his success in the running game here may get him to be looked at.
Since we use that formation with him as a 6th lineman quite often, I wouldn't know who would replace him.. _________________

| Vickerson needs to be resigned. He isn't a world beater, but he is hands down the best interior lineman on the football team. Denver would be taking quite a risk if they let him walk and look to fill the void through FA and the draft, which we all know can be a crap shoot. |

Bannan has also played very well this year against the run and I think he should be brought back. If Wolfe moves to DT full time, like many of us expect him to, Bannan could be expended.
I also really like Hunter and hope he fully recovers and should be resigned.
as for the rest.
OT Ryan Clady - re-signed
CB Tracy Porter - gone( I think their is no way he even wants to resign here)
RB Lance Ball - gone(hopefully we dont need a third-down back that can't block and is not explosive after the catch )
LB Keith Brooking - retires
S David Bruton - I hope they keep him you need core special teams guys and he is one
CB Tony Carter - resigned
OT Chris Clark - resigned
P Britton Colquitt - resigned
FB Chris Gronkowski - gone, waste of a roster spot
C Dan Koppen - he is a 50/50 does he want to back up Walton?
S Jim Leonard - Def should be resigned. A great 3rd safety.
WR Brandon Stokley - either retires or is resigned
DT Mitch Unrein - resigned
DT Kevin Vickerson - resigned
DT Ty Warren - let go
WR Matt Willis - gone _________________

Have some questions/additions about these guys:
Porter - To me Porter stays unless he is out of the NFL entirely. If he plays another snap in the NFL it will be for Denver.
Ball - Why would Ball leave? Way I see it Denver is the only team that he will have a legitimate chance at making the team on. He really isn't all that good. Her will stay.
Willis - Same as ball. Hes's not dumb he knows he has most value on the Broncos because he has been here and knows whats going on. Doesn't have much to offer other teams.
Bruton - I hope he stays I doubt he will though...you can pay 2 rookies the amount that Bruton is going to want/need as veteran minimum. He isn't worth that. I'd rather take the chance on 2 rookies
Hunter - Hunter is no idiot. He knows he has more value in a 3-4 defense. He will walk. _________________

We wont re-sign these guys is what AAA meant. We should be able to replace these guys with better talent. |
