Great traditional 4-3 pass rushers aren't typically available at the part of the first round that we're going to be picking in. You could say that TD might trade up, but I doubt it. The only reason he traded up for Julio is because he felt Julio was "bust-proof." Doubt he'll think that about any of the DEs in this class. Even my favorite DE, Moore, has his flaws. _________________

there will be a few options at the end of the 1st considering the solid (but not elite) 43 DE depth in this class, and so many teams using the 34... And like you said the Falcons are not used to taking the "perfect" guy in the top 5... _________________

I'd say DE and then DT. Adding one lineman isn't going to be enough. The defensive line got no pressure whatsoever today. Wilson had ALL DAY in the pocket.
I've changed my stance on Okafor. I'd be all for him in the first round. As far as DT, I'm not sure. Maybe someone in free agency. _________________

Only FA end that I know is good is Michael Johnson. We need more than just 1 DE, so him and a draft pick would be perfect _________________

We could always go out and buy Osi Umenyiora. At least if you guys think he can contribute. If not, I would be all for drafting one in the first, and/or getting someone who appears very raw but has good potential in the 2-4 rounds. _________________

I love the idea of going with a guy like Alex Okafor in the first, then going with a guy like Kawann Short in the 3rd. _________________

There is no doubt we need a pass rusher maybe 2 so i think we get one in free agency and we draft one maybe for free agency a guy like Connor Barwin and the Draft maybe a guy like Alex Okafor. _________________ The Most Interesting Man In The World Once Said " I don't always play Clemson but when I do I use my second string quarterback!" |

I completely understand why you have running back as our second need, but is there any chance that Turner made a case for himself today? He ran like a man possessed at times. Made me wonder if he has another year left. _________________

I think when it's all said and done Short could creep up and become a fringe first rounder. _________________

I wouldn't want to guess if he does or not. Rather just get another back. Hopefully he keeps this play up next game though! _________________

Yes!!! We need a DE. This game brought me memories of the divisional game two years ago. We had Russell Wilson almost wrapped up a few times but couldn't get him down. We absolutely need DEs. I vote for one in free agency and one in the first two rounds. As well as a big DT, one that can eat up blockers.
In free agency I'll take a guy like Desmond Bryant or Randy Starks then a DE in the draft. Or a guy like Umienyiora for 2 years while getting a big runstuffing DT in the draft. We need bigger lineman. _________________
