The more i think about it, the more i think we might want to get rd of red/cut down his contract and get some with some rushing skills on the market. Allowing us to address guard, corner or Wide receiver more effectively in the draft | Guard is at worst the second biggest need on this team. I'm not wanting to wait till the 2nd. Just looking back at the draft from 09-11, the Guard/Center talent drops a lot more between rounds 2 and 3 than the CB talent does. |
guys like Jordan Poyer, Will davis and Logan Ryan will all be gone by the time we pick in the third. Can you Name some can't-miss Second round guards Tats? | There's no such thing as a can't miss guard or CB in the second round
What I can tell you is this; there has been more CB talent found in the 3rd than Guard talent. |
dont sidestep the question, im asking you. Who's better at guard that you see in the second round? | I haven't looked at the draft enough to give you a great answer. You're telling me you've fully scouted CB and Guard? |
just asking you as a fellow fan. | And I'm asking you, do you know who the 2nd and 3rd round guards are? |
As of now? I'd say Jonathon Cooper and Alvin Bailey. At least that's who i'd want in the second (though i'd say cooper has hardley any chance of falling to us in the second). Your right though, it's hard to say with oline, especially when that unit changes as much as any other throughout the combine and pro day process. I see Cooper and Warmack as the only guy that would instantly improve our Oline at this point, at RG
Now you answer my question _________________

I would have agreed with you in past seasons but this year he struggled and the Chiefs really struggled running to the left side for the first time in years where it used to their strength. Maybe it was an anomaly but it was a reality this year. Of course a good player like Albert would be a nice upgrade but I would go in another direction. _________________

Jordan Poyer first round
Better then the corners projected in front of him. Best playmaking defensive back in the draft |

it is, usually around the 26th. Maybe he meant the ensuing pro day's and draft hype _________________

I like the looks of the away schedule. Thats probably just because we play the Giants and im only 4 hours away from the stadium so im going to that one _________________

Talent to bring in
1) Interior Pass Rush: It's just terrible straight up
2) Guard: Our interior OL gets killed sometimes
3) 5 tech: Replace Red on passing downs at least
4) Nickel CB: Either one of our young guys steps up or we need another CB for the slot
5) WR Depth: We have 3 very good starters, but do we rely on Rice to stay healthy? And Baldwin too?
6) #2 TE: Mccoy simply hasn't cut it lately, there should atleast be competition. Although he has flashed some big time promise.
7) LB or Saftey: It looks like Kam has been exposed to a degree this season. He's been beat several times in coverage, maybe drafting a saftey and moving Kam to weakside LB would improve our LB coverage, and improve saftey coverage. However, i think the Hill-Smith combo would suffice for another year.
Why doesn't Jean Pierre start? If I remember correctly he was playing very well a season or two ago, but the coaches just didn't want to risk him being injured?
Also extend some of our guys Like Sherm and Earl before they begin to command too much money (Although they may have already....) |
