Woodhead returned to the sidelines in the first half but Gronk didn't come out with the team in the second half.

Makes this win very bittersweet. I feel really bad for Gronk just on a personal level now.

Honestly, I'm not as devastated by this as I was when he first got injured. I think the Pats have shown they can manage without him. It sucks, don't get me wrong but we've adjusted to his absence.

hopefully, Woody is good for next week.

How does this happen...

Boggles my mind really. If a simple fall on his wrist can cause shockwaves to break his forearm, why is he allowed to play, and why hasn't it healed after all these weeks?

Brb googling surgeon's name

What's done is done. Let's just hope he heals up properly this time.

Agreed. I know we can survive without Gronk.

On the bright side, Hernandez looks much better than he did before the bye week

agree with everything here. especially considering it happened, as you say, on a simple fall, on basically his first action of the day. as a red sox fan, I have seen time after time a medical staff bungle an injury but this is idiotic. With all due respect to an excellent texans team, if gronk was not ready, there was no reason to play him. and if he broke his arm in week 11, it is amazing it had apparently not healed yet.

I wish I could have some you posters' more positive outlook on not having Gronk...me personally, I'm really worried about the next two games now.

In the SB, him not being 100% made a big difference, now I can only imagine what it will be like with opponents now not even having to worry about him or gameplan for him. He can't even be a decoy now, he is going to be sorely missed in these next two games I think.

I think we can still get by BAL without him...but I think having a healthy Gronk and Hernandez were a big key to being able to beat the 49ers.

Oh ya, and now Jones will most likely never be 100% for the rest of the postseason either....great!!! Evil or Very Mad

The silver lining is that we already know our offensive identity without him. We've been Gronk-less the entire second half of the season. It's not like going into last year's Super Bowl having to completely reinvent our offensive strategy.

I don't like having guys in the team when you can't gameplan for them properly, so I'd rather Gronk went off and got fixed rather than him lingering around like last year and nobody knowing what to do with the guy.
