didnt special teams spot him points
how many ints did he have? and a pick 6 lololol are you serious?
then he couldnt get it done in ot
flacco out played him and threw no ints btw
this is the playoffs the ravens offense isnt full of scrubs. the den defense played well vrs a very balanced balt team.
i thought the ravens defense were old but peyton looked older.
i agree peyton will be back next season and he will blaze through the regular season. imo he is not a cold weather qb and late in the season and playoff time it gets cold in den. him wearing gloves = . he isnt built for cold weather games outside.

I was going to respond to this, but blew it off. Tagg always looks to put blame on the defense. Manning threw across his body, just an awful int in OT that lead directly to the loss. It was a playoff game and both teams were putting points up, but Manning made the choice to throw that ball. |

If you are up by 7 with 40 seconds left its the defense fault if they let them score from 70 yards away. Defense did lose that. But Manning also didnt put them in good situations. His turnovers lead to some points no doubt. |

Say all you want about Peyton's INTs, but the bottom line is they had a TD lead and all the defense had to do was not allow 70 yards in 40 seconds. If your D gives up the lead and the offense did not turn it over in their own redzone, its the D's fault. _________________

But the manner in which it was scored was absolutely pathetic.... like, high school stuff. Champ Bailey got worked over all game also. Nothing Manning could do about that. Poor gameplanning and poor adjusting. Manning didn't help w/ his couple of turnovers but to say he's the reason they lost is wrong. _________________

Yea, to me it really doesnt matter what Manning did or did not do prior to that 70 yard score. Even if he had thrown 5 intercepetions, they had a 7 point lead. Yea they would have won if he had no picks and 4 TDs, but really his earlier interceptions didnt have any impact on what their defense, or the Ravens offense, did in those final 40 seconds. _________________

Don't matter, not what I am saying. I'm saying of all the stupid deals and draft picks Al did pull off, the two he didn't pull off - trade up for Kaepernick, and two shots at Aaron Rodgers both in the draft and swapped for Moss, are the two deals that might have made a permanent and significant difference in changing the fortunes of this perenially losing team.
Instead we have piles of garbage to show for our past decade of first round picks.
Having a good to great QB prospect to build a team around is a part of the recipe for Super Bowls. Kaepernick and Rodgers fit that category. Without one, and we don't have one in Palmer or Pryor, we don't have a chance in hell of making that recipe happen.
But jeez, look at what we do have for what either guy could have cost us. Moss - John Bowie 4th rounder. Fabian Washington. Palmer 1st and 2nd gone, 3rd for Pryor. I.E. we have nothing instead. It's like making bread without flour around here. |
Having a great qb prospect would be great but If you don't put then in the right situation and with the right coaches they become Alex smith and David Carr of the world. We hadn't had the right environment or coaches or team to develop a great qb prospect anyway. |
This.
Until the Raiders change the culture and get some stability (DA is looking good as gone) by actually paying for quality coaching the Raiders need to stick to 2nd tier veteran QBs. One more season of Palmer and then make a run at Cutler. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

you guys blame the defense for the 70 yrd drive, i blame manning for the pick 6. ok lets just say its a wash.
how do you guys explain manning in ot?
did you expect the den defense to hold them through 3 ot's? _________________

I agree with this. They should have adjusted and played a safety over the top, he has lost a few steps.
Still, Baltimore's defense also got smoked all day, it was a high scoring game. John Fox should have let him get into FG range, instead of settling for OT. The defense stopped Baltimore twice in OT, giving Manning two tries to just get into FG to win the game. Manning blew it. |

I will say the pick six wasn't all Manning. Decker was held, hit before the ball got there and the ref's blew it with no call, it was a tipped ball.
I still watched their D stop Baltimore twice in OT, giving Manning two chances to get at a least a FG, but he killed him with the pick. |

You just brought up the interception 3 hours before this post lol you didn't drop anything. And you are drilling him for not performing well after 5 quarters of football??? Your agendas are quite serious. Like at least TRY to be rational. My lord. People aren't perfect dude. Sheesh. _________________

I still don't see any upside in Palmer. He's already shown he can't lift this franchise to the playoffs or superbowl, and the potential for improvement is not apparent. Carson a veteran QB with nothing to offer but wasted cap space. Starting Pryor or at least grooming him to take the starting spot is the right thing to do.
He's among the fastest QBs in the league, rivalling RG3 in full stride. The potential with the hard-to-defend read option is there. He has the physical tools and can brush off defenders like Cam. I know his footwork needs work but the worst case scenario is that he fails and the team gets a #1 pick next year. |
