I think the 8 yard throw is really the most they could have done. Max at like 12 yards. Takes too much time for those routes to develop. You throw it in the middle 20-30 yards, and you can even get out of bounds before the clocks done, and the WR may not have gone down until clocks done.

Yep. There wasn't much else they could've done. They may have been able to get an extra 4-6 yards, but that still wouldn't have given Longwell much of an opportunity. He doesn't have the leg.

You can also fall down and declare yourself down. Give yourself up so to speak.

There was 2 seconds left on the clock with the play they ran, there was no time for a WR to run 20 yards, have Wilson throw it then to the 25 yard gain. The game would have ended right there. Fall down and declare yourself down, would take like 2 more seconds also, thats not going to be declared fast...

So they would have to beat themselves!

Awful call. So what, he flipped the ball hard in frustration. It had no effect on the game, until they flagged him for it.

Oh the Patriots will probably make the Super Bowl again?

Looks like this is the 4th straight year I won't watch the Super Bowl

Per source, Rob Gronkowski is done for the rest of the postseason. Re-injured forearm and needs another surgery.

What do you have against the Patriots to be so disinterested in watching the super bowl?

The rest of the AFC needs to step up... getting bored seeing the Patriots in the big game every year.

I'm hoping for some Baltimore revenge.

I personally want to see the 49ers vs Ravens in the superbowl.

why so much disrespect for the Patriots? they play good ball, they're coached well, they overcome adversity and loss of players.

isn't that we all want for the teams we follow?

Yes its a great model for a team. All I'm saying is that it's getting boring.

well, beauty's in the eye of the beholder, i guess.

i remember watching the San Francisco teams under Walsh and Montana. never got boring watching them out-coach and out-execute the other teams.

no difference here. quite similar, actually.
